Although I hate the word evil, anyways.....my question is, if you are going to eat an avoid and you have a choice between the two isn't their a logical choice as to which isn't quite as bad as the other?
AB Examples:
Drinking a brewed glass of Liptons decaf iced tea (black tea) vs distilled liqour.
(Obviously liqour is worse for the body that black tea)
Making Eggplant parmesan instead of chicken parmesan.
(I'd think a veggetable would be better than this fowl) |

I'm actually more interested in avoiding all avoids, but if you really want to rate them you can look into LR4YT. The Tier 1 and 2 system shows which foods are the most damaging.
Tier 1 lists the worst avoids and the best beneficials. |

I also agree with Victoria; let LR4YT's tier system be your guide.
What we think might logically be the worst avoids, might not be.
Also take into consideration whether or not the reason the item is an avoid. Is it lectin? Is it potential mold? Is it other allergic symptoms?
You also have to take into account your individuality, and what illnesses your blood type (or just "you') might be more succeptible to.

Debra, we've been on the diet for 7 weeks or more, we ate extremely well before starting it so I'd think there wasn't that much to clean out.
Yes I agree on cutting out as much avoids as possible but I was just thinking, that if your going to eat/drink one, shouldn't it be one of the healthier ones. I have been reading LR4YT some, I'll take a closer look at the Tier 1 system. Thanks Victoria. |

I believe dairy is one of the big avoids for blood type O's, thus I would assume the eggplant parmesean dish would have more digestive consequences.
However, each individual's body reacts very differentlty to various common avoids such as wheat, dairy, corn.

Important factors to remember, thanks I'll keep them in mind when looking closer at avoids. |

I completely sympathize.
Passover is just around the corner, and I know I'm not going to be compliant for the Seder. My MIL is planning the whole meal with the ER4YT, but it's not realistic to expect 20 people to only eat BTD compliant A food. I guess this is where the salt water protocols come in handy... |

usaf...glad to hear that you have been doing the diet for seven weeks and that you ate extremely well before hand. Yes, and sticking to the LR4YT's tier system would probably help you best along with your own body's individuality. Debra P.S. Secretor status will help narrow things down also. |

Well I'm trying to make my seder as compliant as possible. I made a brisket and the only thing that's not compliant is a few potatoes in the sauce that I won't eat. I also made a tzimmes that sweet potato, carrot, prunes that's a great O dish. I have O secretor friendly spelt matzo, chicken livers, asparagus and I'm making the matzo balls separate from the soup so that I don't have to have any. I probably will treat myself to a chocolate maccaroon or two for dessert. Jane |
