Hi, Wondering if there is any good quality and legal chewing gum for O-nonnies out there? Or O's? Been wanting some but not sure if there is anything I can have.
Probably not good for me, but I want something to chew on!

I was wondering how much of the avoids are you actually going to swallow ? I mean some of the sugar: xylitol and vegetabel glycarin as well as the peppermint would get into you stomach But would the gums really get into your body ??
I have found a finnish product with only xyiltol made from birch - I do fine with it as well as as my kid- I do chew more "normal chewinggums as well when I´m desperate- and I don´t feel much reaction.- but I would like to find somthing more apropiate.

you might give tree-gums a go! some (like pine) are likely shards by now, but letting them rest in your mouth will give you a (gum-like consistency soon) chew with flavour that will last many hours. Many of these are tree-resins and are easy to spot because they look like very dark yellow-brown congealed ooze coming from the split bark of a tree!

I used to chew the Spry all the time, but switched to Xylichew. I chew gum daily, mostly because I can't brush my teeth during the day. I don't seem to have any problems with it...
Ingredients: Sweeteners (xylitol 70 weight %), gum base (i.a. original latex from sapodilla tree), natural flavor, gum arabic, lecithin, glycerin, beeswax, carnaubawax.

The ingredients are far from perfect, but when limited to a specific commercial product the xylitol/vegetably glycerine gums are as close as I can find right now.
When you are dealing with a dental decay situation, for instance, looking at many options becomes important for the time being.
ECO-DENT 'Between' Dental Gum - The following ingredients are from the Natural Cinnamon Flavor. I think they have a few flavors. (Also I use the Eco-Dent tooth powder).
Functional Ingredients: Vit A, C, E, Baking Soda, Dicalcium Phosphate, Slippery Elm Bark Powder, Stevia Powder Extract, Xylitol
Other Ingredients: Sorbitol, Gum Base, Malitol, Natural Flavors, Glycerin, Menthol
Some of these look scary to me but in an emergency, I chew two pieces for my teeth if I can't brush my teeth right away.
Juicyfruit would be a great gum because it used to be made from jackfruit...a highly beneficial for O cancer suffers...but considering most gums increase the stomach acid.....gums as a whole should be avoided by O's

A dab of flavor won't have the same properties as the fruit. Has anyone had canned jackfruit? I found it to be very woody and lacking flavor packed in water.
Well, after reading all the posts on this thread I believe I have the answer.
No. There are not any "good" gums for Type O's. There are some that are worse than others, but not a one is "good." It all comes down to how bad you want to chew that gum, and: Are you willing (as an O nonnie) to suffer the consequences of chewing that gum?

I only chew when I absolutely need to from dry mouth or not having my toothbrush with me, which is rare cause I carry it in my purse. I've been known to many times, pull over and brush my teeth by the side of the road with some bottled water and Eco-dent paste! ha...
Make a homemade version with dehydrated ginger and sweetener of choice, if desired. Dried ginger is chewy and has nutrition value as opposed to non compliant chewing gum.

I think the one most in question is the gum arabic. It is listed as an avoid for all in TypeBase4. Gums such as guar have always been listed as avoids by Dr. D'Adamo.
