I can't seem to find this discussed anywhere although I'd think it has been.
Since our ER4YT books still haven't arrive, when we were at the mall this past weekend, I found a copy of it in the bookstore there and looking at the AB section I saw something that caught my interest. Maybe someone can look at yours and you'll see what I'm talking about.
At the beginning of the section in the 1st or 2nd paragraph it was talking about AB's and weight loss. That although food made from wheat flour are neutral for us, if I'm trying to loose weight then the gluten in the wheat flour is working against me and my metabolism. I think I remembered that right. So I guess I need to avoid gluten now also since I'm trying to loose 10-15 lbs.
That should be easy since my husband already can't have it so theres no reason to have any gluten containing products in the house anyways. Today we went back to the Pay Less grocery and got 2 more bags of oat flour (since we used the last one up already) and we found a box of Gluten-free all purpose baking mix we can use.
Any opinions on me cutting out gluten to loose weight? I'm not too familiar on the subject but a google search on it seems to be coming up with tone of results. But since all info on the web isn't always accurate I'd rather ask you all.

first you need to check what the baking mix is made of........and compare against typebase....for values.
avoid grains for a while, to loose weight more efficiently.
''Just follow the book, don't look for magic fixes to get you off the hook. Do the work.'' Dr.D.'98 DNA mt/Haplo H; Y-chrom/J2(M172);ISTJ The harder you are on yourself, the easier life will be on you!
Dr. D. states that the wheat tends to make muscle tissue more acidic and ABs utilize calories most efficiently when the tissue is somewhat alkaline. He doesn't state that it is the gluten specifically...
For weight loss, ABs should eat less: red meat, kidney beans, lima beans, seeds, corn, buckwheat, wheat...
They should eat more: Tofu, Seafood, Dairy, Green Veggies, Kelp, Pineapple...
usaf, keep in mind that we all have slight metabolic differences so you may not need to eliminate rice entirely. I lose weight easily when I'm eating basmati rice and fish/vegetables/dairy. Experiment, it's fun! Most importantly, WALK! Long walks keep ABs very happy/fit. eh
here I am 100% with Madame eh walks you are talking about...huh...loooong walks...no runnings
and dearest usaf I experienced that when cheating a bit in eating wheaty things its' just popping me with loads of waterretention too... very bääää
he...hey..hey...rooostersis I didn't cheat here because of my hormonal imbalance ...right now
since years I don't eat the stuff mentioned above...but do have sacré problems in weightloss.... the only thing which will really work drastically is reducing foodintake on all levels, so as the father of Dr.D. wrote once in his book *one man's food is someone else poison *
If you stick to the beneficial grains according to the portion/frequency guidelines, I do not foresee a problem with eliminating grains from your meals if you can tolerate grains.
Overconsumoption of grains may lead to potential weight gain annd binging, but controlled and portioned eating will add nutrients to your body.

Yes I like long walks over running any day. I think the military burnt me out when it comes to running.
Well I'm not an individual that's over weight, I'm within my range range but I've struggled with the last 10 lbs of pregnancy weight from having our last daughter over 2 yrs ago. It eats me up so like every mother I want to loose the last bit of weight plus 5, lol. I'm in no hurry or anything, I just finally want to get this off, every time I alsomost get there it comes right back. It never took this long after the 1st baby. I never dieted once in my life till kids, I was one of those eat everything in sight and still look very thin people.
lucky you, to be able to eat nearly everything and then looking small but perhaps was just your 2cond pregnancy which drained your thyroide I'd go for
