I have a few questions for anybody that would know for sure ...

I buy my manna bread frozen; now my question is:
Can I thaw it; cut up portion sizes and then re-freeze it
for further use??

How long does it stay well in the freezer ?? 6 months ??
and
How long does manna bread stay fresh in the fridge ?

That's what I plan to do, however; since I buy it already frozen I just wanted to make sure that thawing it and then RE-FREEZING it a second time is ok nutrient and taste wise

Nope, unfotunately the manna breads arrive already frozen since they come from the States ... however; the clerk told me that bread isn't like meat and that u can thaw and refreeze with no prob !!
Since I wasn't convinced, I decided to come ask on BTD

I think they freeze it for a reason. Anytime I have bought/seen Manna bread it is always in the frozen section.

Frozen manna bread should last quite a long time in the freezer or for a few weeks stored in the refrigerator.

Pre-slicing and individually wrapping the separate manna bread slices would be an option for on-the-go snacks/meals or an impromptu manna bread craving.

I do have a store that I purchase the manna bread from, however;
the problem is that they're frozen ... maybe I'll call a few other stores and see if they're refridgerated instead

That's great info and I intend to do just that, TY

How long can manna bread remain fresh and NOT accumulate bacteria if left out at room temperature ?

I believe manna bread should always be refrigerated because it is sprouted and contains no preservatives.  Its natural state is rather soft and 'crumbier' and refrigerating the manna helps to ensure that it does not fall apart.

Manna bread defrosts fairly quickly; I have purchased rye manna in the store, then driven home, and by the time I unpacked what I had purchased, I was able to use a small piece.

Me too actually !!

I think it may be due to the fact that manna bread needs to be frozen or refridgerated  ... since it's NOT like bread but rather Sprouted Organic Whole Wheat Kernels ..

This makes me wonder then if it'sa good idea to bring it as a lunch or snack at work; since that would mean being at room temperature for a few hours and perhaps accumulate bacteria

I keep mine in the freezer and then when I open a new loaf put it in the fridge.  It stays fresh in there until I use up the loaf - about a week or so if I have a small piece with breakfast with some almond butter.

it can thaw while it s lunch time....just make sure to eat it for lunch.
