There is only one brand of Ezekiel 4:9 bread because it is a registered name.
However, Food for Life does offer a few different versions of their Ezekiel 4:9 bread, sesame, low sodium, cinnamon raisin and of course the plain. Depending on blood type some of the versions might have avoids for some people. For instance, as a type B the cinnamon and the sesame would be an avoid.
I grew up using cinnamon and it's hard to avoid it; however Im trying ... question: what spice if any can replace it besides nutmeg ? TY |

Oh ... I never even thought about mace; I will definately pick some up ... I use nutmeg quite often instead of cinnamon now; it's great even on sweet potato !! TY Another question about spices: How much is too much ?? I love 'em and cook with them on a daily basis practically ... especially; cayenne and curry ... SO very yummi and really perks up a dish !! |

Actually, I read a while back that too many spices aren't necessarily a good thing ... that's why I was wondering if using them on a daily basis can be a bit much ?? Just wondering how others r doing with this spice business ?? If it was up to me I would be spicing everysingle meal It just adds so much pizzaz to dishes don't u think ?? Thanks !! |

...what is exactly mace; is that similar to nutmeg in its taste
Quoted from Tomatilla I.
...nutmegflower
Nutmeg, Muskatnuss, Muscadier, Nuez Muscada {Myristica sp. - Myristicaceae} Mace - Not really sure what Mace is in other languages. Mace is similar to Nutmeg in flavour, but not as pungent and the colour in cooking is not as dark. Its the fuzz {Arillus} from the 'husk' of the Nutmeg Seed. The fruit of the Nutmeg is used for jams - Have no reference to the Flower however. |

Yes allspice is a mix of 4 spices, and Cinnamon (or rather Cassia bark witch is used in China, where allspice originates from) is one of them. Many premade curries contain some cinnamon as well. So make up you own curry powder, if you wants to avoid this spice al together. It tastes better and stronger anyway, if you roast and grind your own ingredients. Lasse |

By the way. You shouldn't be so uptight about them spices. As long as you don't eat them every day, but just once every one og two weeks, it would not harm you (that's how I read and understands the bloodtype diet). You are just adviced not to eat them every day or as part of your daily menu. Remember, Avoids is not mere poisons. They behave rather badly in your organism thats right, and if they are used extensively they could - perhaps - build up chronic diseases or damages over many many years. But they are NOT downright poisons like Arsenic, Cadmium, lead, pesticides or Quicksilver for example to name some my mind could conjure on the spot.

Cinnamon is only a Tier 2 avoid for type B secretors.
Therefore, if you are in good health, at proper weight, not as concerned about your health, and are not Rh-, MM, or a non-secretor, then cinnamon could be considered neutral. Otherwise, it is recommended to avoid it. |
