Are inulin and FOS prebiotics safe for O secretors and non-secretors, to sustain bifidus flora?

I ask this because inulin is a fructose polymer, and fructose is made from corn, which O's are not supposed to have.

try inulin from artichokes, which are beneficial by the way!

here s Heidi's take on inulin:
Quoted Text
I don't have much information on inulin. It is present in a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. It was listed in the formulations of the 4YourType Herbals (discontinued) for types A and AB. It is a probiotic, with slight sweetness and is probably in your stevia extract to moderate the flavor and aid digestibility. At this time, of course, it has no rating. That said, I see no reason to avoid it. Unless it causes stomach upset, I think you'll find it does no harm at all. and that's the sum of my offerings on inulin!

and this take on FOS

but I d try Larch arabinogalactan an immune-enhancing polysaccharide.

I have bought and used FOS before that was sourced from chicory root, which is a type O beneficial.

I might be hesitant to use FOS that is manufactured. I have read reports of issues associated with such products out of Japan.

Quoted from Ronagon

I don't know who manufactures it, but I have used the FOS from Beyond A Century before. They apparently buy most of what they in bulk and package it in plain white bottles and then put a simple label on it. I am sure that is one of the reasons their prices are usually pretty good.
FOS, Fructo-oligosaccharides, are sweet, non-digestible, short-chain fructose polymers prepared from chickory. 300 grams, $7.00
