Hi all,

Would it be bad if I ate the nonnie way? I might have my secretor status re- checked since I don't do well with grains or starches at all. I feel the best with fish, poultry, veggies, nuts,seeds and fruit. I am also gluten intolerant. I suffered with 5 intestinal infections as well over the past 10 years.  

The night I had my burning chest pain I ate beans with all three meals, so I don't do well with those either. I guess this is all individual. I drink soymilk once in a while but don't do tofu, since it can affect my gut adversely due to molecular mimicry.

On a good note, my h.pylori test came back negative!

Have you tried beneficial grains such as amaranth?  I find I do best with some beneficial beans/grains in my weekly diet, if not daily.

I can't do Amaranth due to molecular mimicry. The only ones would be buckwheat and millet. If I do have them I have to do food combining or I have major gas! I like the roasted buckwheat the best. I'm not wild about millet. I have made buckwheat  four/ nut flour pancakes.

Have you tried quinoa?  It is a whole protein by itself.

I can't have it due to the molecular mimicry deal. The only grains that are permitted are buckwheat, rice and millet. Rice doesn't agree with me.

I thought that grains had phytic acid that was not so good.

i eat lots of veggies, fish, poultry, lots of eggs, a bit of fruit and sometimes a little bit of nuts or some nutbutter.  Be true to yourself, after all you are your blood type and each A is different Just do what feels right for you

ooo.oooLaura ..if I just do what I feel is right for me ... back to café within  seconds

and yes here I must agree, I became nearly grainfree too, gluten/gliadin question and I don't get that fat so quickly .... better lots of veggies, fruits....I know..because if the sugar but better fruitsugar than candies .....very occasionally beans (because of the gas ) no lentils at all...can't
support em .....

I'm with Isa and Laura too.....I eat lots of veggies, eggs, nuts/nut butters, avocado, goat/feta cheese, minimal fruits (usually a piece a day).......  minimal grains...usually a slice of whole rye every other day.  not because I don't digest grains well, I digest them just fine.  But I came to the realization that they weren't offering me a lot nutrition-wise, so I just sort of stopped consuming them.  I don't do well with beans, so I barely eat them.  Like Isa, they give me gas.

What do you mean you are your blood type and each A is different? Thats what I don't understand about this blood type thing. If we are all A's why do we have such a difference in what we can eat?

actually we are quite a distance away.....
down here it is now close to 11 am, and in California it s almost 9 am, so it s quite a difference!

google Cuernavaca, called the city of 'eternal spring', that s where I live......
weather is beautiful all year round......has to do with the latitude and location.......
it s only a twenty minute drive south of Mexico City.......
