Voting on behalf of my husband, a type B. He's less than once a day. (And always happy to share - not)

Wow! Not only am I new to this forum, but forums in general. I have no idea what to do, and here I am on a forum that's discussing BM's. Here goes . . . I consider that I'm blessed, by regularity. Every morning, BEFORE heading out to work (I know some of my friends who are "moved" at a very inconvenient time, it at all, at work, and they don't want to miss their window of opportunity, so what can you do, eh). I grew up with a Mom who had nothing but trouble with that whole area of her body, and passed away in 1993 from what originated as colon cancer. A few years prior to her passing, she even had a colostomy. So, I count my lucky stars. Following this B-diet, I'm more often reaching my goal of coming up to my super-healthy hubby's standards (2 -3 per day). We've been married a long time; we joke about this, when we're having a serious discussion about our BM's of all things! We don't yet know hubby's blood type, but we're going to find out soon. Whatever it is, he sure seems to be doing all the right things. Probably, if I'd been eating more like him, and less like me, all these 25 years gone by, I wouldn't be in the condition I'm in! My purpose in getting on to this B-diet, is to have more energy and to feel wonderful all the time. I'm recreating myself, to be a person who has an active lifestyle (I sit at a desk all day). I've finally tried golfing, for example, and it turns out I love it, I'm getting pretty good at it, and I actually look forward to getting off my butt. Big progress for me! I'm not expecting any overnight miracles, I know how long it's taken me to get in this situation. It's insidious; when I think of how I was when I was 14 - 19 or so, walking everywhere, hiking up any trail I took a notion to hike up, I realize how far I've allowed myself to slip. I don't believe it's ever too late, however. We all have to learn our life lessons, and I may be kind of slow to do so when it comes to my body and my health, but I'm improving my learning speed exponentially now. Just over a year ago, my older sister (my youngest older sister), died a week before her 64th birthday, from a stroke while she was talking on the phone to my eldest sister (my only sister now). She smoked like a chimney, and was having problems with her blood pressure and her blood pressure medications (so she told me about a week before she passed). I've never been crazy about all the medications doctors "experiment with," anyway, and now I'm even more determined not to end up in a position where some doctor-prescribed drug is my only, desperate, immediate hope. Ah well, that's enough for my first time. I'm going out to enjoy some of this gorgeous day, after I have my leisurely B-type Sunday breakfast. Best regards to all you other seekers "out there."

I have a friend who I swear is a B (She is Vietnamese and had a terrible reaction to some cookies I made that had almond extract in them) who would go maybe once a week if she was lucky. She did have issues with such activities, though... She has gotten better about being more regular.

I'm sure the frequency also depends on how many calories one eats as well as how often! I'm sure that BTDers eat better & don't represent all who have their type. The test may be more accurate in an institution where all eat the same diet, like a prison. We can all guess that the Os will have the most problem! For the others, who knows? What is known about the types? I just know that the rest of my nuclear family, who is all the other types sure didn't have the problem I had. Now, I probably go more that all of them! c172gbrm, Welcome to this Forum, and it's a great thing that you have discovered eating for your blood type. You are doing the best possible thing to tilt the scales in your favor. We may have inherited certain genetic weaknesses, but to a great extent, these are just the tendency to eat the way we were raised. So you can change your health very strongly in a positive way. I have noticed after several years, I am still seeing improvements that make me pretty happy. Also eating for your BT turns back the clock and we start noticing ourselves doing things we did when we were younger, such as having the energy to take those little hikes.

I told someone to try the allergy and liver protocols, that is AB+ secreter. Probably explorer (gall bladder issue, serious allergic reactions, very sensitive to mold, etc). The frequency of this person has gone from 1-2 times a day up to 4-5 a day at the moment. I wonder how GTD status affects people, too.
I voted more than once daily. For me, It's morning and evening. This still varies by how healthy and what I eat. The less compliant meals, lead to more bathroom time. I tested myself (eating nothing but Beets for a single meal) to see how long my digestion takes. It's about 17-18 hours. Though if I eat lots of peppers (as I love to do), it could take considerably less.
My Daughter is a B and she goes almost once a day, not quite. There are some days she doesn't. It seems like it goes and streaks with her. Sometimes it'll be 2 times in one day, and then she'll skip a day. From what I can tell. I don't always know, as she's 8 and sometimes I'm not always privy to the info. Especially because she stays overnight at her grandmothers once a week.
I go once a day. Like clockwork in the morning after I get up. And every once in a while I'll go another time. And then there was a day a while back I actually went 3 times in one day. I was feeling fine too, and I figured it was a good thing. But it's very uncommon for me to do that.

for me, depends on diet, and daily lifestyle, weather, emotional state. I read books by Norman W. Walker, interesting his view on how many diseases and health problems due to wastes lingering in colon and in other areas of the body, and bloodstream. Was in ER last year for a day, due to digestive problems ie diarrhea and vomiting, and young medical doctor said whatever is normal for that person is ok, as wastes just stay in colon, dr seemed to think it ok if a person empty bowels once a week! I was shocked to hear this view.... I worked in a hospital when I was younger for three years, and my own experience says a healthy bowel should move three times a day if one eats three meals a day, how many do have healthy strong bowels/colon or even think what it takes to ensure this part of our body stays healthy? hard with modern lifestyle and diet with sugars, starches, and lifestyle stresses, life events. Do grains cause some damage in the long term I wonder? instead of grain products, sugars etc when I was younger, more veggies would have been better, I am now thinking....
It just gets wierder here. I want to see it by Genotype, though. Would Nomadic B's be the least to go, holding it in because of all the traveling? Maybe Explorers are the most uninhibited?
