I think of all the types, type A's probably have the most varied diets, we have the biggest range of inner-type differences and so I am interested in seeing how that affects our eating patterns, So secretors, nonnies, A2, A1, Rh- if you are a type A post your menu
ps- I certainly how I don't just see, Breakfest- amarath and soymilk snack- pinapple lunch- pinto beans and broccoli...........................
.................not that this wouldn't be a bennie meal plan but it doesn't have to be yours if you are a type A, so GET OVER IT

Very unusual day as I was on location for much of it....
breakfast Had two hard boiled eggs with homemade mayo (lemon, egg yolks, grapdeseed oil, touch of unheated honey)
beverages sipped decaf coffee throughout the day; tap water and Gerolsteiner
snack okay...candy is dumped on us and today I did give in and ate one Hershey miniature chocolate bar
lunch black bean soup and apple at Panera Bread...the soup was thickened but I ate it anyway
snack blueberry unibar
dinner two hard boiled eggs with homemade mayo, later two baked herbed chicken thighs; later a small bowl of puffed rice cereal dressed with melted ghee and molasses
Yesterday I had an omlette made with fresh organic eggs, diced turkey, scallions, diced tomato and mozzarella cheese, and a fruit salad made with fresh blueberries and bing cherries
Lunch: grilled chicken caesar salad with romaine lettuce, chicken seasoned with tarragon, cherry tomatoes, and a tablespoon of Newman's Caesar dressing (avoids), but since I use so little I don't worry too much
snack: D'Anjou Pear
Dinner: Grilled snapper with grilled veggies (onions, bell peppers, yellow, red and green, portobella mushrooms)
snack: pinto bean dip, (plain can of beans, chilli powder, cumin, coriander leaves dried, a little salt and some mozzarella cheese) served on raw veggies, celery carrots and multicolored bell peppers
Breakfast: Blended Salad Smoothie (1 cup of frozen fruit - blueberries and raspberries, 1 cup of juice, 1 1/2 c. dandilions and swiss chard chopped, 1 scoop (2 T) of soy protein; all organic, of course.
Lunch: Romaine salad, mushrooms, cauliflower, red onion, celery, feta, sunflower seeds, greek dressing (unfortunately with vinegar) piece of sourdough roll
Dinner: Plan on tuna salad with Celery, onion, cucumber and loads of mustard on ezekial bread.
Snack: 1/5 or 1/6 of an "endangered species" organic chocolate bar.
"To be nobody-but-yourself—in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else—means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting." ee cummings
As usual, I start my day with lemon water and a protein/greens shake
Grapefruit at 10:30am
Lunch 1:00pm consisted of a mixed green salad with some nutritional yeast for protein and pineapple
I don't have afternoon snacks, I drink my green tea from 2pm on till I get home
Tonight I plan on having grilled salmon with bene veggies, and CHERRIES! picked some up on the weekend mmmm good --
Pretty light meals for me but I am trying to lose more weight and I am quite satisfied --

Before running: egg mixed with harmonia and a 1/4 of a orange (gasp- kill me, ok, I eat oranges, just shoot me)
Breakfest- salmon veggie scramble ( 2 oz salmon scrambled in one egg with loads of veggies and some cranberries) avocado
Snack- cottage cheese mixed with peanut butter stuffed in an apricot
Lunch- salad (romaine lettuce with cooked veggies on top and chicken from last night) homemade mayo mixed with lemon juice for dressing
Snack- home made chicken salad ( chicken pureed with carrot, celery, cranberries, and a bit of apple mixed with yogurt to moisten- I also always eat something fermented if I eat fruit)
mixed this with an egg yolk from a soft boiled egg and stuffed mixture in white, this was a new invention and very good, I highly recommend

So far today I've had:
lemon water and polyflora
decaf with soy milk wheat-free muesli with pineapple juice
pineapple fruit smoothie, made with pineapple chunks, pineapple juice, soy protein powder, flax seeds, and a splash of soymilk
pomegranate white tea 2 hard boiled eggs 1 liter plain water with lime juice and sea salt (just a dash)
I'm not hungry yet and have no idea what's for dinner, but have some canned salmon in the cupboard and some broccoli in the fridge so may do something with those two...
I am a cherry addict, just bought some, red bing cherries are the best, this is my favorite fruit season, The cherry crumbl sounds good, although I'm sure most of it I couldn't eat, I'd love to see the receipe

I made a salmon salad with mayo, celery, and green onions. That was around 5pm...then at 8pm, our good friend wanted to take us to dinner because we are moving soon and we ate a Middle Eastern-Turkish restaurant. Almost nothing I ate was compliant, but it sure tasted good. I'm paying for it today though, so back to square one.
Breakfast: one egg over medium served on top of 1 slice Ezekiel with guacamole, red onion, salsa and goat cheddar.
Lunch: I'm hormonal today, so I was craving sweets. I mixed peanut butter with ghee and unsweetened cocoa powder...added some veggie glycerin and had pretty healthy compliant chocolate. I ate that with some walnuts mixed in.
Dinner: Mixed greens salad with carrots, broccoli, brussel sprouts, green beans, artichoke hearts. Topped with lemon juice, nutritional yeast and goat cheese.
I normally eat more, but tummy is a little upset right now....though I don't eat as much as you Laura. You also work out twice a day and harder than most people.
Dinner: more tuna salad, plus homemade pumpkin soup with lots of parsley. To be followed by some yoghurt and cherries if I'm still hungry, not to mention a little red wine.
No bread today, I've been eating a bit too much and feeling bloated. Jenny
Warning: this meal plan is very primitive compared to the above mentioned.
Breakfast: quarter pinapple then cereal(rice chex with westsoy vanilla soy milk)
Lunch: 3 slices Ezekiel bread, canned salmon, ground mustard. I kinda roughed it for lunch today, very dry.
Dinner: Planning on some combo of ground turkey with pinto or black beans, fresh green beans, fresh broccoli, maybe brown rice, curry sauce maybe.
I'll probably have some watermelon as a snack before dinner or dried apricots.
I'm still working on getting some plain soy milk with just water and soy beans and I need to get back into making my own granola. The only fluids I usually drink all day are filtered and bottled water.

Hello fellow Type "As"!
I have been away for over a year. Back now. I need support as I was eating too many avoid foods and ended up getting chronic sinutus. Not too worry. I did purchase Dr. Ds book on allergies. Have to give up the wheat for a while.
My menu for today:
Breakfast: began with a lemon water drink Miso soup (fresh tofu, wakame, enoki) 1/4 cup of walnuts, peanuts, sliced apricots, dried wild blueberries, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, and pumkin seeds 1 cup soya latte coffee
Lunch: homemade lunch box: white rice (I know it should be brown, but my family prefers white) with soya seasoned tuna cubes and sesame seeds on top, boiled organic carrots and broccoli with seasoned herb salt, garlic and olive oil, cherries
Dinner 100% rye bread and peanut butter salad with olive oil dressing and garlic fresh raspberries
I live in Tokyo and for being an A blood type person it is the one of the best places to be. There are so many dishes using soya beans. Yeah!
break: 1 slice canned pineapple and three tsp. of black eyed peas on the way out the door, coffee w/ sugar free creamer (haven't found a substitute yet, only been a few days on this diet)
lunch: 1/2 ezekial round thing with a tbsp of organic almond butter in it, while walking around the gardening store
snack: 1.3 bars of splenda choc covered icecream shared with my granddaughter, age 3
dinner: huge bowl of the 'baby greens' salad that comes in the huge bag, handful of walnuts, tbsp organic (local) goat cheese, 1/4 of a slab of organic tofu cooked in soy sauce and brown/hot chinese mustard *pretty good tasting too!*, with 2.5 capfuls ceasar salad dressing.
WALKED: 1/2 mile on treadmill 1 hour after dinner in 13 minutes
VERY STRESSFUL DAY -- finding out i am diabetic, and learning I am going to have a echocardiogram and a bladder distillation test! aarrrrggghhhh.
And, dkite, I'm so sorry about your health problems. Well, at least you are in the right place now, and if you give the BTD a real chance, it will greatly improve your health, no matter what you are dealing with. Do you have the BTD book on Diabetes?

Breakfast: Water with Lemon Oatmeal with Flaxseeds and a little honey
Lunch: I was very bad and had a Peanut Butter & Jelly on wheat. My daughter made it for me, I _had_ to eat it
Snack: Dried cranberries then some pineapples a little later
Dinner: Ravioli with portobello mushrooms and artichokes and a side salad
Way too much wheat for me today and I have a runny nose becuase of it. I'm seriosly thnking about getting the secretor test, though I think I am a secretor. I will do better tomorrow as I am making a veggie soup for lunch. Yum!
Hi Oona, I'm happy to see a new post, and a tremendous welcome to the Forum!
Are you aware that peanut butter is beneficial for type A? And wheat is neutral.
You're right about the quantity of wheat, but all in all, your day wasn't bad. Just stick in some more vegetables and decrease the wheat. And have healthy jelly with your PBJ!

Well I have been craving a burger for some time now but would not allow myself to have one. Today we were out of town shopping and we went to Ruby Tuesday's to eat dinner. I ordered their turkey burger with a side of steamed broccili. It was so good and juicy I ate the whole thing. It satisified my burger craving and it was better than beef. It did have a little mayo but I took the tomatoe off and the pickles. Left the lettuce and onion. Yummmmy. I could eat another one.

Thanks for the welcome, Sun Beh Nim.
You are not the only person to recommend the book. But my doctor says I am not diabetic. What I have is hypoglycemia. Should I still be reading the book?
Come to think of it, on my father's side there is a history of diabetes among the female members. By the way, I feel a lot better since I cut the wheat out. I wonder how long I resist bagels, spaghetti, etc.
hypoglycemia is a precurser to diabetes, it is still a disfunction of the pancreas, also you say you wonder how much longer you can resist wheat, well perhaps you should think about how much longer you want to live and how happy and healthy you want that life to be

Hi I am new here one day on the diet can I ask a question? Is olive oil margarine OK for A diets?
Actually, any kind of "margarine" is usually a highly processed product and, often, the processing can render even a good fat such as olive into a "transfat", which we want to avoid, especially for you as a Type A. So, in general, I would say that choosing a pure, less processed fat is far, far preferable. For example, I'm not sure what you want to use the margarine for, but what about using pure olive oil (beneficial for your type) itself? Or you could use "ghee" (neutral), which is a clarified butter (you heat up the butter and skim off the stuff at the top, just using the clear stuff that is left, which is the ghee). As a Type A, beneficial olive oil or neutral ghee are your ideal butter substitutes.
Welcome, by the way!!!
"If you are on one of Dr. D's diets and it isn't joyful, you aren't doing it right." - moi -
Hi Pacheco, Welcome to the BTD Forum. You'll be better off if you avoid processed foods, and eat either foods you make yourself, or basic natural foods with no additives. I agree with Peppermint that Ghee and Extra Virgin Olive Oil are the healthy choices. Stay away from margarine of any kind, is my advice. It is made in such a way that makes the oils (even if they are good oils) changed in their chemical make-up, so that they are no longer healthy fats.
By the way, if you go to the member center and get shield for yourself that shows that you are type A, then people won't have to ask your blood type if you want to make more posts.

Thank you for the warm welcome! Yes, there are way worse things than PBJ, especially with all the organic stuff, it's just that some days I have a little too much wheat and I get a runny nose. Weird.
I'm hypoglycemic as well, and I have noticed an huge improvement since starting the BTD. I do however stay away from fruits in the morning as I seem to crash very soon after eating them. For me, fruits are mostly for snacks.
Although wheat is low on our list of priorities, I tolerate it when mixed in a rye loaf, to save the effort of always having to search for the 'difficult to find' 100% rye bread. Jenny
Oona, a great many people find that wheat is a food that is best avoided, even if it's allowed for your blood type. There are a lot of good alternative grains out there that are easier to digest. And IF you turn out to be a non-secretor, that would reduce wheat to a neutral instead of beneficial anyway.
I have a fruit smoothie in the a.m., but it contains plenty of protein also. I would be a basket case if I started the day without protein.

We have two A's and two O's in the house, so I am trying desperately to phase out wheat. Tried rice pasta and the family wasn't happy, though they did like artichoke pasta. I will be checking the complete ingredients on that one next time I come across it. I am asking for a bread machine for my birthday (on the 1st, go me) so I can make some of the breads in CR4YT.
As for Rye, our Trader Joes does carry one (flour free), but the kids didn't care for it unless it's on a tuna sandwich. MMMMM. That one is a staple in our house. Tuna, chopped flat parsley and lemon juice tossed on rye. Very delish.
Can I please just say you are making this little pregnant lady HUNGRY! Seriously, I love reading what everyone is eating. Especialy the person who ate the cottage cheese with pb & an apricot. Okay that went on my grocery list as soon as I read that. As for me, it has been a bad day...I will share maybe some of you can help point me back into the right direction....I have been eating cheeseburgers & drinking V8 (they are both cravings............ )
Breakfast: Two grilled cheese & a chocolate protien shake
Lunch: Turkey burger with cheese & handful of fries (yes, I know a big no no, but they were organic!
Snack: An apple
yes, after reading this, I realize that I am not eating very well at all! I need to go back to my book & re group Any suggestions, I am loosing my appitite & not really wanting to take the time to make anything healthy.................

nice thread..makes me realize I am not doing too badly on this diet. Typical day...
breakfast: two slice cin raisin ekezial bread with a little peanut butter with flax seed and a glass of pineapple juice.
Lunch: either salad with mixed greens, brown rice, tofu, carrots, green onion, avacado or pb and j on ekezial bread with bennie fruit of some sort, blueberry, cherry apricot plum etc. I try and only eat bennie fruits. I have also been putting a little ground flax on my pband j
diner varies a lot from good to horrible. Still try and eat mainly bennies.
if I snack it is almonds or seed pumkin usually.
I drink 16oz of green tea and 2 L of water daily. Some days I will have a little coffee with cream and some days a wheat bagel with a tiny bit of cream cheese both avoids I know.
So, I try and make 2/3 of food consumed come from bennies and no avoids if possible.
I expect everybody finds that eating at home is fairly simple. My problem is always on trips. In april we had 2 weeks in Portugal, we've just had 2 weeks in Belguim and are shortly due to have 4 weeks in Uganda. My past experience of visits to Africa is that 'food is food'. I somehow can't bring myself to be too choosy, particularly when in peoples homes. But 4 weeks is a long time to be eating things that really do your system no good. My husband says he will stick with fish - i am not a lover of fish. Any ideas??
Hi Janet, Well, maybe it's time to choose the lesser of evils. You don't like fish, but at least most of them are not avoids for you. If you stick with vegetables, fish and fruits and a little bread, maybe you won't be eating your favorites, but at least you won't be poisoning yourself!
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow. ~Mary Jean Irion
Hi Victoria, yes it's always 'damage limitation' I have to go for!! In Belguim we were with Congolese people and the only veg they served was cassava leaves and canned veg and so much pork products.
You got that right, Laura. I did forget that I had a little canned salmon in the a.m. - but it was too "fishy" for me (prefer the wonderful fresh stuff we can get).
This morning:
oatmeal w/ tiny bit blackstrap molasses, 4 dried plums, and 1/4 c. organic yogurt from Trader Joes (never would have come up with that combo normally, but it sounded good to me this morning)
and coffee with unsweetened soymilk (lots of soymilk with a smaller amount of very strong organic coffee -- oh man but I'm glad coffee is okay for A's!)
Well that is a lot of nuts, it just sort of depends on how many you had at each snack. Your meal plan looks great though, I love having omlettes for dinner as well

In between meals, I tend toward nuts and seeds and dried fruit. I eat so many vegies at meal time that often I want something "other". Sometimes I'll eat a bit of yogurt as an after dinner snack with a sprinkling of ground flax seeds and molasses.
1 slice Ezekiel Bread with ghee 1/2 cup Ezekiel Cereal (Golden Flax) with blueberries and soymilk
morning snack:
fresh pineapple
Later today I plan:
Pinto Beans with chopped yellow onion on top Collard Greens cooked in a little olive oil until tender (add water as needed) Slice of Ezekiel Bread with ghee
Before Bedtime Snack:
Strawberry Shake made with frozen strawberries, soy milk and tofu mixed in blender, add sugar-free sweetener to taste and 1 tsp vanilla extract. The tofu helps thicken the shake and adds lots of great protein! I also add a few ice cubes to make it nice and cold. Yummy!!! (This is very filling and sometimes it is all I have instead of a 3rd meal.)

Ha!! funny you posted that, I made the exact same thing last night for us. DH said he wished he had some ice cream and I remembered I'd picked up some soft tofu to make some. I used xylitol and veg glyc so there wasnt SO MUCH taste of either in it. It was very good. couldn't tell there was tofu in it. he asked what was in it and I wouldnt tell him cause I knew he wouldn't even try it. it did give him gas tho and i'm wondering if it was the xylitol as i've read it can do that. what kind of sweetener did you use diann?
I've found a really nice breakfast cereal at a new english HFS, calls itself 'Gluten free muesli'. I wasn't happy about my other one as it was not really totally compliant - this one is much closer. Ingrediants: rice flakes, sultanas, roast buckwheat, millet flakes, raisins, chopped dates, sunflower seeds, currants, roasted hazelnuts, flaked almonds and cashew nuts (avoid but how many can you get in one serving?)

I'm really enjoying it!!!
I bought Nature Path's rice and millet cereal - was really happy to find it. There's a big but though - millet is high on the glycemic index and I found my blood sugar levels way out of wack - made me tired and groggy, and of course . . . grumpy, etc. Too bad, cause this was really crunchy and I miss crunchy.
OK - this is what I've been doing lately (if you have a highly addictive personality - don't try this at home).
Coarsely chop some walnuts and pecans; add raisins/fruit sweetened cranberries; mix some cocoa powder with brown rice syrup (I like lots of syrup and cocoa) and a little bit of stevia. Mix everything together and eat with a spoon!
This really hits my need for chocolate and for sweet - it is heavenly!!!

are you sure it is the millet that is bothering you? rice is high glycemic, not sure on millet as it apparently hasn't been tested. that's not to say you can't tell how it affects *you*. just a thought on the rice. janet, that cereal sounds good, wonder how it rates re: diabetes will have to have a look. stormy, that mix sounds really good. i'm sure someone besides you will be enjoying it now that you've posted. but goodness, lets not have any more pimples, eh, jenny and all these years they thought pimples were just for teenagers.

Yes, I'm sure it's the millet - the type base mentions that it has high glycemic levels; I eat rice cakes all the time without any effect on my energy levels.

well, for pete sake, there it is where down there in the Ws. I looked to M, N, O and quit. . Sorry.
I've been chopping up walnuts, mixing in some runny peanut butter and Cadburys drinking chocolate powder (relatively inoffensive). If I wasn't so greedy I would roll it into balls and treat it with more dignity, but I tend to eat it by the teaspoonful. C'est la vie! Jenny

I haven't eaten breakie today (yet); I woke up early. But I often cook up some turkey bacon, then roll it up inside a sheet of nori, lightly spritzed with olive oil, and some scrambled eggs. Oh so good. Might just have that this morning.

I know . . . my thought was to add some almond butter and roll it balls and freeze . . . I haven't done that yet.
I think it's the peanut butter giving you pimples. Can't eat peanut butter anymore . . . causes bloating and gas. Which is ok I guess as I was eating way too much of it . . .

I use Splenda. Clay likes that one best so it is all we have in our house. I'm not sure where it is in the food list, but figured it is okay since it is made from sugar. I hope so, anyway! You're right . . . you can't tell there is tofu in that shake!!

Splenda is nothing more than chlorinated sugar. From what I gather anyway. Haven't read any of the articles ABJoe posted, but from the research I've done, won't touch the stuff. Lets just say WF doesn't carry anything w/ that in it. Nor aspartame. Have you given stevia, vegetable glycerine or xylitol a try? On that desert, I had a bit today during the day. It is sooooooooo good. Sorta sweet, sorta tart, right up my alley!!

Hi Janet,
I was looking over the ingredients of the cereal you buy at your English HFS, I noticed that many of these items can be found in the bulk foods section of American HFS's, Whole Foods, or co-ops. You could try mixing various grains, nuts, seeds, and dried fruits together and come up with your own compliant version of a muesli minus the cashews.

Agave nectar is also good; sweet without a glycemic index spike.
oh yes, forgot that one. I think it was bothering me, so stopped using it. actually I think I need to give it all up right now, as I think i'm having candida probs. but yes, lots say they use agave w/ much success and the glycemic thing is why I started using it. will try it again later.
Thanks for the info on Splenda. I will do more research on this and see what we discover. I've always heard that Stevia is a good sweetener but have never tried it.

I clearly have not done my homework on Splenda. I did some reading this morning and found that it isn't natural at all. The sugar molecules have been replaced with chlorine atoms (I won't even pretend to understand that!) so that the product does not remain in the body. The manufacturers state that approx. 15% remains in the body, but I guess I would ask 15% of what remains in the body?? Sucralose is quickly excreted through the kidneys. One good thing about it is that it does not cross the blood/brain barrier as aspartame does. I like the sound of Stevia because it is an herb. I have not tried it but will do that. I actually don't use a lot of sweeteners except in baked goods and in my yummy strawberry tofu shake. I don't use it in coffee, tea or cereal. However, Clay loves the sweets. He sweetens everything. Does anyone know if Stevia impacts blood sugar the same way as regular sugar? I'm not familiar with xylitol but will do some reading on that as well. Is it a sugar alcohol? It seems I have much to learn about this topic. I must admit it can be confusing!
Wanted to make an addition to this post. I don't want to change the course of this thread, but since we got off on discussing sweeteners . . .
I just read the ingredients on the Splenda bag and the first one is maltodextrin. That is a no-no for my Type O hubby. Seems it is made from corn starch which is an avoid. That fact alone makes it off limits and it is a goner in our home!
Diann, from what I understand, yes xylitol is a sugar alcohol and is why it gives some people gas. I think I will be switching to something else, as it makes me feel strange. That's not to say it will do you or hubby that way, you'll just have to try it out if you decide to go that route. Has to be better than Sucralose or Aspartame tho!! As for it being okay to use, I understand it is, but just as some foods affect each person dif, so does this seem to. From what I understand, stevia will not cause sugar spikes. In fact is said to even out sugar levels.

Thanks for the info. I have tried several sugar alcohols and find they don't work well for me. As soon as I can get back to the health food store in the next town (we don't have much here!) I will get some Stevia. That is probably the best route for us to go. I called Clay and told him not to drink the green tea I made for him today. Ha Ha He was going to make a stop and see if he can find some unsweetened green tea in a bottle to have today on his route. He has a long day, so he will definitely be in need of that tea! The Splenda might be the thing that has been causing his digestive upset. He has had a perpetual problem with indigestion, GERD, and hiccups when he eats. I guess we will know in a few days if that is the culprit.

Please let us know if it is the 'culprit'. Wouldn't that be interesting. Also when you get some Stevia and try it, let us know what you think ok?

Perhaps you can get a small container or sample package. I didn't do that, but bought a huge box of it instead because it was on sale at WF...only to find out that I really don't like the taste. A waste, really.

That sounds like a good idea. I've never tried it, so don't know anything about the taste. Was it really strong? It is so hard trying to decide on sweeteners with a diabetic in the house.

I just didn't like the after taste. And yes, it can be strong or not so strong, depending on the format you buy it in (meaning: liquid, powder, or leaf). I bought the powder form that had extra fiber in each serving, because at the time I thought I needed extra fiber.
For me, agave nectar, veg gly, and blackstrap molasses are the sweeteners of my choice; but I am not a diabetic, though I do tend to follow the guidelines set forth in the Diabetes Health Series Book.

Drea, you can take that stevia or whatever it was, back to WF for a refund, even w/o a receipt. If you have no receipt, they'll just give you store credit. Unless you used like the whole package. Anyway, this is one of the things I really love about WF. You are never 'stuck' w/ anything. Even if you buy fruit and it goes bad in a day or 2 or is really nasty when you go to eat it. Just return it. They are the most return friendly store to which I've ever been. As it should be.

I actually gave it away to some friends who eat too much Splenda in hopes that they would convert. Then I moved out of their state. I don't know if they ever even tried it...but that's good to know about WF. I guess there is a silver lining inside their exorbitant pricing.

We bought some liquid Stevia and have been using it to sweeten tea. I also used some in a slaw salad I made for Clay. Anyway, I noticed that for the two meals he ate at home today, he has not had hiccups or indigestion. It might be a little early to say for sure about the use of Splenda causing this problem, but it is looking like it might be the culprit. I'm sure he will be posting results in the days ahead. Neither of us noticed the absence of his hiccups until later in the day. I called him and asked him about it and we had a good laugh over it. There are some things that you just don't miss when they are gone! I'm sure he will post under testimonials later when he is more certain of the results.
As for the taste of Stevia, he says it is fine with him. I ate some pumpkin that had been sweetened with stevia and didn't notice anything different. Tasted fine to me. We have several stores that carry it - a health food store, Kroger, and Walmart. There does seem to be some variety in Stevia products. I noticed one company online that had stevia added to a bunch of ingredients. That's not what we bought. I would like to try the stevia powder sometime. All we have used so far is the liquid stevia. We give it a good thumbs up!
In keeping with this thread here are my foods for today:
Breakfast: warm lemon water before food. Scrambled Eggs with soy milk added, cooked in ghee 1 slice Ezekiel Bread with ghee Black coffee (I'm getting used to not using cream)
Snack: 4 oz. grapefruit juice
Lunch: Salmon steak Steamed Carrots Collard Greens Pinto Beans (I'm addicted to pinto beans!!) Fresh pumpkin cooked in ghee with stevia Water
Snack: Fresh pineapple pieces
Will probably go light for supper. That's a big meal for lunch today.
