I usually only have a protein shake, is this bad. Should I add more food. I have my shake about 30 minutes after waking (6:30am) and I'm finde untill about 10 am when I have my delicious grapefruit (love them). Lunch is at 1pm with either a mixed salad with some protein either nuts or small amout of fish or legumes. If I don't have the salad I will have lentil/or other soup purered with plenty of different vegtables. I have enough to make sure I'm satisfied. I don't snack between meals. I drink plenty of water and green tea all day long, and I know am trying to chew my food (20-30 times) and make sure it is well liquified before swallowing. Dinner is usally at 6pm and this is when I may pick on certain foods (not always good!) I find it hard to sit down and enjoy dinner after leaving work driving in traffic picking up my son at daycare preparing dinner rushing through dinner to take my son to either karate or swimming or soccer etc. I just find the evenings so overwelming that it's hard to focus on eating properly sometimes and actually enjoying what you eat. I am trying--and I have lost 10 lbs in the last 10 days. I do make time to exercise after everyone is in bed. I have incorporated some tia chi and I love it. I have always found it hard to lose weight, do have an underactive thyroid so I have to try extra hard. I used to eat constanley at one time, always thinking about food and what my next meal was going to be. I think I have finally controlled my eating, but am I eating the right amout of food and enough protein? I tried going all veg but I think I do better with a little animal protein as Don pointed out on a previous post. I did do the Lemonaid Fast for 4 days and found it did really help to keep me on this track. Sorry if this post is a little long. I think it's time to get to bed as it's getting late for me.
