Hello everyone! I'm new. I'm 27 years old and my husband and I live in Tennessee. I am originally from Utah and he is originally from New York. The blood type diet is very new to me. I think it makes perfect sense and would like to try it out. I am blood type A+. We don't know my husbands blood type - yet. But we have ordered a blood typing kit, so we will know soon. He is CONVINCED he is an O. We'll see. As far as whether or not we are secretors - I have no idea. I'm still looking over the book and trying to grasp it all. We recently purchased Eat right for your type and Cook right for your type. The information is great. I've found that a lot of the foods that are "highly beneficial" for me, I already love - like broccoli... MMM. And a lot of the foods I dislike, like shrimp, are foods I should avoid. So, apparently I already listen to my body - most of the time. But, at the same time, it all seems a little ( and when I say that, I mean A LOT)overwhelming. How does someone make such a drastic change in their life?? Is it just a question of whether or not you want to live a healthy life or die sooner and be unhealthy? I feel so lost in attempting to start something like this. Plus - Mr. Meevee and I can't seem to stop arguing over what the true definition of "organic" is, hahaha. He's a Chemical Engineer and very skeptical of everything. He doesn't want to accept that there are actually TWO definitions to the word "organic". One that applies to food and meat and the other that applies to chemistry. At any rate - he IS willing to try this new diet, this new change, in our lives. I want to do this! And I want to do it right. Can anyone offer any helpful advice? I've found much of the information in the books and on this site already extremely helpful. I look forward to getting to know everyone! Sincerely, Meevee
Mi Mevee, Welcome to BTD! If you'll go to the member center (purple button at the top) you can pick the avatar for your blood type. I'm type O myself, but until some Type As check in, looks like reducing meat and and adding soy would be important steps to take. Dairy is also something you should work on eliminating. Wheat is not your friend either and if hubby ends up to be type O it's his worst enemy. Start looking for spelt products. Those will work for both. Quinoa and rice are other grains that you both could use. Ditch an orange juice habit for pineapple juice. On the exercise side look for something similar to yoga, As don't do as well with strenuous exercise. Type A and O make up over 80% of the population, so there's a good chance hubby is either A or O. 80% of the population is also secretor, so Dr. D recommends to follow that diet until you decide to delve deeper. A few foods that are at least neutral for everyone are turkey, tuna, brocolli, carrots, pineapple, apples and rice or rice milk.
Otherwise think about the foods that you eat most often. If there are avoids there, look for acceptable substitutes. Then look at the list of highly beneficial foods and gradually start emphasizing those. I like to call it trading up.
Good luck with hubby on explaining the organic thing. If I remember my definitions right the chemical definition of organic means it contains carbon, the food related definition means it contains carbon and it doesn't contain pesticides or hormones. Well that's a start anyway until some Type As swoop in the help you out...trust me, they will.

Good for you! There is a wealth of info at this website. One more thing I noticed in ER4YT is that warm water with lemon juice is sort of magic for Type A. Club soda before meals for Type O is a good strategy. Those are pretty easy habits to adopt.

Welcome to the BTD my fellow A! I love Ten! Great state thinking of grad school there. ANYWAY, I can relate my dad is a Chem Eng. he is pretty skeptical. Until I told him the long time Vegitarian, that he was an A and thats what A's should be. Anyway, my Boyfriend is an A too, when we first got together almost 2years ago, he was eating meat, dairy, heavy cream, ice cream, pop, beer, alchohol, yes you name it everything A's shouldn't eat. He was also 223, which was obese for his size. I wanted him to be as passionate as I was about weightloss and health. As women we want to fix our men and save them from themselves, right? It took time and it really took me living my example happily and eating with joy! He eventuly got sick of being oveweight, and gave it a shot. SLOWLY, he made changes. Still, to this day he eats salsa, peppers, and occasionaly beer and orange soda. But he is now a veggitarian w/ a little free range chicken. He now weighs 193ish and looks HOT He regrets it when he drinks too much beer and runs the next day. He still wants to lose more.... My point is, it took me giving him the space he needed to come to the conclusion he needed to take his health seriously. All along he had me to inspire him just by seeing my joy in being healthier. Introduce things slowly, once you find out his BT you can promote fruits and snacks he likes. I will post a fabulous recipie for dairy-free alfredo. My boyfriend destroys this when I make it, there is seldom left overs! Look for it in the Cook Right for your type section, coming soon. As, for the engineer husband (my boyf's a mech. Eng. must be Eng. mind to doubt???? ) give him a copy of the book Eat right for your type, that may help. Also, being in nursing school and seeing what I have seen, and talking to SOOOOO many people about their health and BT, and having an A & O mom and dad and folllowing thier health history. I am convinced this is very true, accuracte, applicable, and medicaly sound. Good to have you. Welcome, and let me know if I can help you in any way. We are all here for you!

Meevee welcome! My A type brunch is happening today, with four A's coming together for a feast. I should be cleaning the kitchen and making the lentil patties, but I just love talking to you guys so I'll quickly do this first. We are going to have cranberry juice followed by home made a type muesli with light yoghurt and blueberries. Then its tofu scrambled eggs with parsley on steamed spinach, with special soy bread-toast that someone has found in a local shop. Also my lentil patties from the typebase recipe list with coffee and green tea. Home made soy latte is also on the menu. A salsa for the patties will be made from onions, pimentos, parsley and a smidgen of garlic. Hope this inspires you! Cheerio, Jenny
It is so cool to hear from all of you! Thank you so much for your words. BSUE - I am in nursing school also! I graduate in December 2007 though. It looks like we have a lot in common. Jenny, your brunch sounds like so much fun. And it sounds delicious! Cheryl - I've actually been doing the warm lemon water thing and I do feel quite a difference. Things have definitely started going better since I cut out the meat and breads. And who'd of though WHEAT was so evil? hahaha Thanks everybody! Meevee
I'm also new and wanted to ask a few questions. Brief history: I'm 52 yo and have totally eliminated all sugars and whites from my diet. (I had endometrial cancer 4 years ago..thus the motivation for a healthier life style)
I am looking into this diet to do some fine tuning. Many of the changes I have made fit right into the A diet. I have never liked meats.. but was eating alot of chicken as I don't like fish that much. I have cut back on the chicken and have experimented with some tofu vege patties and feel even better...but..
Questions: I was told to avoid too much soy because of the cancer. How much is too much? Are there vegetarian recipes somwhere on this site that are sugar/white free? This will be a challenge as I don't like fish (will eat tuna and salmon) and am not to have soy.. Suggestions?

Lin congratulations on your first post....and welcome! )
soy is definately good for As.... follow the BTD recommended servings for soy consumption for your blood type, you should be fine. .. here s what Dr D talks about with soy and As: ............................................................ most of the soy/thyroid stuff on the internet (the theory that soy is some sort of universal thyroid poison) is just tofu baloney. Soy is very reactive to rat thyroid tissue, but rat thyroid is glycosylated differently than human. soy-bashers who have over the years criticized my blood type work with comments like 'lectins don't resist digestion or enter the general circulation,' in fact blame the 'dangerous hemagglutinin' in soy as the basis of their own anti-soy arguments.
That dangerous agglutinin they are alluding to is, in fact, Soybean lectin (SBA).
''D-hemagglutinins are precisely why you should get fermented soy into your diet if you are type A. the same soy bashers that talk about the dangers of soy hemagglutinin (aka lectin) deny the premise of the BTD that lectins penetrate the digestive tract.
One person's food is someone else's poison ...................................

Lola, I'm not asking about the soy/thyroid connection, but the soy/estrogenic affect because of my cancer history. I'm not a soy basher. I drink soy and enjoy it. I see that my diet changes will include more soy if I adopt this diet.. just am leary of it after 4 years of hearing "limit your soy comsumption" from the medical oncology field.
I don t believe she limited her soy consumption.......she does insist on organic produce though.

it seems like most people try andy shy away from raw soy products like soy milk and tofu, and if you look at the portion sizes in eat right, they are pretty small. I personally don't appear to have any problems with soy except for soy milk, tofu seems fine, i'm not a big fan of tempe but i do love miso and tamari, also i LOVE nancy's cultured soygurts
Lola, Thanks for the link.. will check out her info.
Liam, Your post cracked me up. I got a jar of the miso.. took a teeny taste and it's horrible!!! What do you do with it?? Don't like soy sauce.. the tamari has alcohol.. I cook with a teeny bit of this occasionally. Haven't heard of the Nancy's.. Does it have sugars in it? Gave up the yougurt when I went sugar free..
The recommended servings of soy are one serving per day in LR4YT. Soy is actually included in the number of legume servings per week, ie.beans. If your cancer was estrogen and or progesterone positive, then I would be leary of consuming even this much soy, otherwise no more than the daily serving should be ok. My mother had both estrogen and progesterone positive breast cancer and she took tamoxifen for 5 years and has been cancer free for 12 years now. I also know another woman,a former coworker, who is an A blood type, was on tamoxifen, and has survived the same estrogen positive cancer for 8 years and is doing very well. My mom was told to avoid soy and so was my coworker.
Re the yogurt...there are a lot of soy/milk yogurts around that do not contain suger. Even here in Australia I am able to find a couple. They are very plain and need something with them and not recommended to eat straight from the spoon but used with a cereal and fruit, stewed apple and raisins work very well. You may have to search all your local HFS.
I fully understand your issues with soy however you may like to read some of Dr. D's comments re the matter. There is a section called bloggers, top left hand side of this page, and there you will find Ask Dr. D. It has a search engine and I put in "endometrial" and came up with a few replies. Hopefully it will help you gather info.
Hi, I am somewhat new. When the book first came out I tried it for a while, but found it very difficult since my favorite foods were scallops and shrimp, and the only meat I ate. I also never lost any weight which I could use losing about 20lbs.
I tried Atkins and find some of it it is much better for me, no sugar in particular. I had given up pasta when with the BTD initially. All the dairy is obviously not good for me and now I am trying to balance low carb with type A. I do not know my secretor status yet. I enjoy the Atkins shakes because I often do not have time to eat. Are those okay for my blood type? They say that they contain dairy but when reading the list of ingredients I do not see it listed.
The other conflict I have is that I have always been in the best shape when running and find that Pilates and Yoga do nothing for me. How is that?

the secretor test will help you finetune your plan. if sugar is an issue, there might be a link! besides, nonnies can have more protein than secretors....lamb comes to mind... also you might be an A1 or an A2.....that too has other guidelines to consider.....and the MM status..... which of the books have you got?
here s where they can do the serotyping tests: Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. You can contact them at 480/970-000. Testing includes: *ABO *Rh *Lewis a & b (secretor status) *MN ...................................

Hello Meevee! I am also sort-of new to the BTD. I've had the book, read it (although it does confuse me a bit..which doesn't take much..lol), chatted with friends and family (however, many of them just don't get it) and I am finally ready (I think) to begin with this. I feel that diving in head first is not the way for me. I'm slowly decreasing the 'avoid' foods while slowly increasing the 'beneficial' foods. I want to stick with this and not throw my system into shock and I think this is the best way to accomplish both of those tasks. My biggest problem is meal planning. My hubby is a B+...and overweight. I am overweight as well...used to be very thin. I'm 37 years old..5'8"and 175...he's 35 years old...5'9" and 260. Our children are A+ (she's 11) and AB+ (she's 3) (the A+ daughter is from my first marriage). The 11 year old is very thin...the 3 year old is a little more 'stocky'...it's in her genes. However, I'd like them to both make good eating choices and develop good habits now. I'd love to hear (even if in private email) from anyone who is maybe in my situation or just feels like chatting about this lifestyle.
Hi, my name is Sandy, I live in Yorba Linda, Ca. and I am new to the BTD, started in May. I am an O and so far it hasn't been too difficult. I have CRFYT and have found that helpful. I have been pleasantly surprised when I saw the inches melting off my hips, no real weight loss. Has anyone else experienced this? It has leveled off now, darnn! I have had a hard time learning how to post on this forum. I hope this goes through. If it does and I get the hang of this I will write more.
If you click the Member Center button at the top of this page, then click Avatar Settings on the left side of the new page you will be taken to a page where you can select a blood type avatar. Having a blood type avatar is an easy way to share your type with other forum readers. You can also add information below your avatar setting, such as Rh, A1/A2, MN blood typing information, by going to the Profile Information section in the Member Center and typing in the Personal Message box. You can also create a Signature of any other information you want to share that will go at the bottom of every message you post.
You might want to get Dr. D's book LR4YT. Some of the food rating have changed since the older books. You can also use TYPEbase4 to check and verify the status of food items that you use. The button for TYPEbase4 is at the top of the page on the left side.
You may want to get your secretor status tested, this is discussed in LR4YT. If you turn out to be a non-secretor your food choices would change quite a bit.

Hello everyone. My name is Lindalee. This is my first official day on the program. I have a question about Dr. D's book "Diabetes, Fight it with the Blood Type Diet" I'm an "O" and I'm confused on the grains section listed on page 51 of the book. It indicates I'm not allowed to have wheat, millet, Barley. However, under the section titled Neutral: Allowed frequently is has listed "Ezekiel 4:9 bread. When I looked at the ingrediients on the package of bread, it included Barley, Wheat gluten and Millet. So how come it's listed under the ok to use column??? Can you help me with that. I'm excited about this program, my intuition says this is going to work for me. I have high cholesterol, high tri's and am about 20 lbs overweight. I think my biggest challenge will be breakfast...I was a big cereal eater. Thanks for listening and if anyone knows the answer about the Ezekiel bread let me know. Lindalee
I pulled out my magic wand and aimed it at your signature
Welcome and congratulations to all the newbies, you'll continue to get good advice here. It took me 4 months to try the diet from the time I figured out that it was what I should do (joint pain, near pre-diabetes, overweight, eczema, depression, etc. etc.)...so glad I did!

Thanks! I am new as well and I happen to live in the Bahamas, the play ground of the rich and the famous. Bye the way, I am an "A."
I was always of the view that the foods we eat determined, to a great extent, the extent of our health; so, I was always in serach of a good Health Program. I believe, finally, I have found the right program.
My immediate problem is to get rid of the Fungus in my Blood. I tried Medication, Folk Medecine and Supplements, all to no avail. The colour of the Toe Nails of my two big toes are black and they are numbish, now.
Apart frm the Fongus, I am in robust health according to my Doctor.

Rudolph,
Welcome to our forums. Please drop by the member centre at the top right of the screen. From there you can select your blood type avatar and people will feel more able to offer assistance.
POst any specific questions you may have by starting a new topic under any of the forum sub-sections.
Caprylic acid, 350 mg; 1-2 caps, 2x/day away from food
Betaine HCL 250 mg, 1 cap with large meals
Oregon Grape, 250-500 mg, 1-2 caps, twice daily
Larch arabinogalactan, 1T, 2x/day
Probiotic, preferably A specific
Non-secretors: add zinc, 15 mg/day
---------
General tip:
You will notice to the right of my post an avatar identifying me as type A.
To identify yourself as type A, it would be helpful if you would have a type A avatar. Luckily, it is easy to get a cool "A" icon:
(1) Go to the top right side of this Web page and click on the purple Member Center button. This brings up a new page. A lot of options are listed on the left side of the new page.
(2)Iin the "Edit Profile" section of the list on the left side-select " Avatar Settings." This brings up avatar setting options.
(3) Select an "A Avatar" from the "Images in gallary" list box.
(4) Finally click the save button at the base of the page.
It really is that simple to get an avatar and then you will not need to keep typing that you are an A.

Thanks to all of you for being here...I am at home recovering from cartilage repair surgery, starring at the two little holes peeking at me from my left hip. In the process I learned that I have an ever-so-slight softening in an area in my newly explored posterior, inferior hip. What?? Me? The only books I've read since Tuesday are the Eat Right for Your Type series that have been calling to me for a couple of months.
I read these books a couple of years ago, got started for a short time...didn't search for support...and disappeared into the wheat-y world around me, now becoming a plagued Type O (+). I even wrote a letter to Dr. D'Adamo regarding my immediate and unbelievable results...and asked him to have a louder voice in the world as I felt his work could save lives.
I guess it took these two little holes to help me realize that my Type O, "Type A", first born, ENTJ personality needs real help, focus...and to slow down. My Mom has been telling me this for a long time now....
I hope I can look to these forums and this site for advice and help. I'm just getting started and have so much respect for those who've moved beyond the daily effort of getting rid of the "avoids".....this is a--void for me right now
I've ordered the secretor test kit....and had no wheat or dairy today. I'm searching for good food sources in our little city of Boise, Idaho. I'm a transplant here, but it looks like there are good sources of organic beef.
Its just me and my two little holes, one day at a time, and heading back to work on Monday.
Welcome aboard, lots of supportive friends here on the site. Check out the Testemonials and bloggers for inspiration. Hi Rosie,
You sound like a pretty "hip" woman.
Oh Mercy
Well, you're at the right place for recovery. If you follow the diet, and boost your system with some of the supplemental programs available (see the Protocols in The Blood Type Encyclopedia if you have it) then you should be up and about in no time.
You are most probably in the perfect place to start "the new you" because you won't have many other things to distract you. Here's to a successful recovery.
Aaron.
P.S. Welcome aboard.

Thanks for helping me getting set up....what a great site.
We spent this morning "detoxifying" the kitchen. Looks like we just moved in ...except for the plums, bananas and almonds. Of course, the scariest moment was when I read the label on the strawberry twizzlers in the freezer...corn syrup and wheat flour are the first four words. Horrifying. I feel like I'm in a Lucasfilm just waiting for the next special effect....

Thanks to all of you for being here...I am at home recovering from cartilage repair surgery...Its just me and my two little holes, one day at a time, and heading back to work on Monday.
Welcome to the wild and woolly world-o-the BTD cybercommunity! We are more fun than a barrel of monkeys and dare I say that we are a lot more supportive, too!
Thought: Whilst recovering from your cartilage repair surgery, you may wish to get some glucosamine sulfate capsules and take them daily, as glucosamine aids in building and repairing cartilege.
Welcome again to the fold!

Leaping Greenly....your post means a lot to me because you took the time to share advice that I need to hear right now...thank you.
Glad to hear that you picked up your ER books again to ensure for a healthy recovery.
Have you checked the Meeting Tree board to find people and/or resources in your city? Or maybe start a new thread for your city, if it has not been started.

If not available, I will start a Boise group because...well...this is what I do! I sure need the support and encouragement personally.....BUT BUT more than anything else I believe that so many people are suffering daily simply because they don't know there's a better way....I have a friend from another community in Boise coming over today to talk about ER4YT, then we're headed to the Co-Op together to see what they carry....
Thanks Alia.....I hope to find a ND locally who supports this way of life...any ideas??

Thanks for this advice! I found one, Randy Anderson, in Idaho Falls....perhaps I can just look for a great ND in Boise...?
Another question...about certification. I just read all of the iFHI material on this site. Awesome. Can I get the basic certification? I am not in healthcare, but I am passionate about this field of study...

Hey Rosie, WELCOME!!! I'm new as well, and this forum has more information then I thought possible---everything your looking for is here----- and it has helped get to my 'best self'!! Good luck---let me know about your secretor status---it's VERY important!! P.S. I LOVE Idaho--especially Bear Lake at Raspberry season! I"m from SLC Utah, and Evanston, Wyoming. P.P.S. MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Rosie, welcome! Will your type B husband be joining us also?
My husband is very engaged and has been on the BTD since I started...he ate a wakame seaweed/egg white omelet with ezekial toast tonight for dinner...his had goat cheese, I had beef....and loved it. I must admit it was great....and combining Types O&B has been pretty easy. Of course, as a Type B he definitely fits the more laid back, harmonious stereotype....and he'll eat anything. He's a former Olympic Canadian hockey player and trying to get in shape to kick some butt in a masters league....so he is happy for healthy food and a great program.
We are so grateful for Dr. D's work and everyone on this site, living this lifestyle. Thanks for the warm welcome....
Hi Rosie, I am not sure if I'm answering your e-mail. But I am new as well, and I stumble upon Dr: D'Adamo book at the library "Diabetes fight it with the blood type diet"about 2 weeks ago. I read it and it appealed to me. It's amazing but I have been battling with yeast infections for 11 years non stop and I found out Monday of this week that I maybe pre-diabetic, therefore, I feel that I must not only try this plan but I must be consistent and successful. I am real happy that I found all this support.

you can never go wrong with fish and veggies, or chicken, turkey..... tofu is also advised for As as a source of protein.
make your own list from your book to take with you at all times. good luck!

Welcome Sharonyeo, Not sure when one stops being a newbie, I'm on my 12 day now, seems like ages!! I too am an A+, as is my husband (who will not really take this serious), anyway I carry on. I too am always looking to loose a few pounds and was fairly convinced that staying away from wheat and potatoes was the answer - I knew nothing about the connection with blood types - so I was right, they are on our AVOID list. I have been struggling with the meat/poultry/fish. Yesterday Henriette gave me some sensible advice "the amounts are so small of meat/fish per week that it's best to mainly have fruit, veggies and beans". She added that she knew lots of type As who were very healthy etc. As for eating out all the time, sounds very difficult to be able to stick to the eating programme. I am English but have lived in Spain for nearly eight years and frankly can't trust myself in a restaurant, just yet!! Best wishes to you.
Hi, I'm Andrea in Connecticut and I am beginning to incorporate Blood Type principles into my daily meals. I hesitate to call this a diet as it is a life style change that is permanent. The word "diet" to me conveys a temporary thing. I've tested my blood and I am 0+. So, I have some questions:
1. I've begun drinking more herbal teas instead of black tea. Thankfully, I was never a coffee drinker. I also have digestive problems as indicative of my blood type. I've been drinking Ginger Tea and Licorice Tea and both have done wonders for my acid reflux issue. But, will the licorice tea raise my blood pressure?
2. This morning I drank some black cherry juice with breakfast. My question regarding the juices that are suitable for me is the "sugars" content. Black Cherry and Pineapple juices have alot of "sugar". Being that 0's are prone to diabetes, where is the justification for drinking these juices? Is it that we process the sugars differently and thus doesn't cause an issue (it doesn't make sense to me)?
3. In looking at a typical menu for type 0, I notice that beverages are listed with meals. I thought I read somewhere that 0's should not drink any liquids with meals and should in fact not consume liquids for 30 mins prior and 30 mins after the meal. Is there perhaps a greater benefit to drinking some beverages with certain types of meals? If so, what types? P.S. - I hate seltzer and I don't drink alcohol.
4. Soy - Is too much soy a danger? I know someone who got breast cancer in her early 40's and cannot touch soy. Am I endangering myself?

-licorice needs to be DGL preferably so it doesn t raise your blood pressure. - try finding sugar free juices........100% extracts perhaps and dilute them. important is you don t exceed the frequency values given of sweet per week..... which of the books do you have? ERFYT has a typo, the frequency given for fruit should read per day not per week. -for those like type As with less stomach acid, it is advised to not drink during a meal..... this really is very individual........drink in moderation during a meal if need to, and try not to drink ice cold for better digestion. -soy isn t the best choice for an O........so just don t overdo the frequency values given per week, unless you have an adverse effect to it. as you have noticed, this really is an individualized life plan!! )

The licorice tea doesn't say that it is DGL. I found it in a health store. The health store does have DGL in capsule form as well. Are there licorice teas that are DGL? I would rather drink a tea than take the prescription Pepcid pill nightly. The tea really does work. I suppose I can eat an apple - that works too, but sometimes it's easier to drink a tea.
I have Cook Right 4 Your Blood Type. A friend has the Eat Right book.
I began eating soy yogurt (3 times a week) instead of dairy yogurt. I thought I read that soy was a good substitute to use instead of dairy. Can I not have yogurt at all????

a cup of L tea a day is fine, just don t overdue it.
I believe it is also advised in the afternoon, stops cravings.

This seems to be the place to check in. A friend pointed me to the boards here, have spent a good few hours just skimming the top!
I have PCOS and Diabetes, and am currently also treated for thyroid--all connected, I'm sure!
Only a week into this new lifestyle. I did very strict Atkins for 2+ years, (which worked quite well for blood sugar control, though I stalled after a year) then modified LC since then (about a year) when I just could not tolerate the meat of Atkins, and was dealing with almost crippling fatigue. Most meat would make me gag unless it was very highly processed (deli meat, sausage.) Now I know why!
I think my body could only tolerate the wrong foods to a point, and then just couldn't fight it much more... hence the fatigue and gag reactions.
I'm not quite in full compliance yet with BDT, partly because kicking the coffee and cream habit is going to be the hardest thing I've ever done. I have very, very few vices, and I take real pleasure in my coffee with half-and-half. Part of how I could stick to 20g of carbs a day was that I could always still have my coffee. I would love to hear from folks who truly loved it and have given it up.
I'm also eating too much fruit and not enough veggies, and too much Ezekiel bread and rice right now. I just am enamoured of the fact that my blood sugars have been PERFECT, and I've been deprived SO long! I made up ghee for my toast, but the dogs ate it this morning. bad dogs!
I find I'm getting tripped up trying to be 'good' too. It's hard getting started, learning curve is steep.

I was glad to kick the coffee habit! I know it ain t easy, but it s worth it. the adverse insulin response you get from drinking coffee is not a good thing..... your blood sugar levels will be even better. think about it.

Hi ten7 and welcome, nice to see another AB around.
Following BTD sure is a steep learning curve but gradually it will all come together. I would urge you to get a secretor test done, it is very important since you are fighting several illnesses.
Just on one point, as a secretor I do very well on rice, to the degree that if I miss my rice allowance a couple of times I start to feel a little bit "off" whereas our AB non-secretors seem to find rice and other grains make them feel unwell.
Coffee seems to be something that many AB's crave - well maybe not crave - but certainly find difficult to eliminate, and it is a "bad" avoid for us as the caffeine raises adrenaline and noradrenaline levels already high in AB's. But don't despair just reducing your intake is a great step forward.
There is so much info here and so many folks always ready to help I feel sure you are going to enjoy the journey.
Howdy All. My first time Bloggin. I'm also new to this. I haven't purchased the books yet, but have read alot on this website. Also printed out the foods list. I thought my BT was O or RH. Got my blood tested a week ago and the lady said it was ABO RH+. I'm not sure if that is O+? Can anyone help?
Under your first post Maria has directed you to the member centre where you can add your avatar and any personal messages that you wish. However it is a bit difficult to chose your avatar when you are not sure what your type is...
Have you got your report from your blood test? Can you type out the results?
As Carol has also posted you cannot be ABO but only a type A type O type B or type AB. The RH + and - only plays a very small part in BTD but your secretor status does. Now that's another story and maybe learn about that once you have established your blood type.
And we are all here to help each other in any way possible.
Hi all. John here(33 year old Male) and I have recently discovered the BTD and was amazed how the foods listed were some of the same ones I have discovered over time are not good for my stomach(Mainly wheat). I am looking forward to the life changes I have read so much about.
But I have a couple of questions that have confused me early on.
I have the main book Eat Right 4 Your Type and I also have the smaller hand held book. Food, Beverage and Supplement LISTS from the main book.
Well the lists of beneficial, neutral, and avoid foods vary from the two books. In the main book it tells me I can't have things such as cinnamon and apple cider vinegar, but in the LISTS book they are listed as neutral. These are not the only differences I have noticed there are many more. I just want to be sure to avoid the proper foods and right now I am a bit confused.
Hi, John -- Welcome! I, too, am a newbie to the Forum. Go to the TYPEbase 4 Food Values, on the Home page index. There, you will find the most up-to-date information on the foods; I will be doing the same thing today, checking the information against what has been published previously.
I have the Eat Right, Live Right and the Blood Type Encyclopedia, but there are changes on the site.
The wheat is the toughest for me, but I do have Spelt grain that I freeze, then grind into flour and make bread using my Vita Mix. To buy, the Ezekiel works well and is very good.
We rarely eat corn and I dropped pork from our food ages ago -- except for that little detail of going out for breakfast -- bacon and eggs -- I feel guilty with every bite; it's not even good.
So, tackle the lists, get rid of the Avoids and add the Beneficials --then, exercise! My personal challenge!
Unless you make everything from scratch, reading labels will be very important as wheat and corn are in a LOT of foods.
Welcome. I, too, have recently joined the group. I can't give a lot of advice ( I'm still learning to adjust), but I agree with how BTD matches with what I have found to be problems. I discovered abouit a year ago that cutting out wheat helped eliminate the heartburn and reflux that I was having. I'm still on meds for it, but I hope to get off with this diet. My biggest challenge is cheese. Good luck and keep us up-to-date.
Hello TheSleeper, fsnaturelady, and doc! Nice to meet you all
As Dr. D'Adamo has made further studies and tests over the years since Eat Right came out, he's adjusted values for certain foods. That's why you've got differences in some of the lists between books. fsnaturelady's suggestion to check Typebase here on the website is excellent, as it is the most up-to-date listing available. I would also suggest getting a copy of Live Right, as it contains the Tier One and Two information that helps you fine-tune your food plan even more.
Welcome to the boards everyone! I look forward to your posts. Please ask as many questions as you wish, you've got plenty of people willing to help in any way they can.
Everyone is entitled to his or her informed opinion. --H. Ellison
Hello Everyone I am just new to the forums myself. I have been following the BTD for only 1 month, but already noticing improvements in health.
What really convinced me to try this plan was the fact that a couple of years ago I had undergone food sensitivity testing. All of the foods that they told me to avoid are the same ones this plan tells me to avoid.
My heartburn is gone, along with bloating. and I was able to drop the meds I was taking for anxiety without consequence. I've also dropped about 7 lbs.
I am definately sold and find this really quite easy to follow compared to other diets I have tried. My big obsticle is wheat, but I have found Ezekiel bread very satisfying, along with rice cakes and spelt flakes for breakfast.
Wishing everyone good luck with our new venture! Patti
Welcome to all the recent additions to this forum!
Concur with the advice given above. Live Right 4 Your Type is a good read that explains the diet in more depth. Some people find the tier system confusing, please ask for help if there is a problem. You don't need those food lists unless you are trying to be 'more compliant' than the average person needs to be. Typebase is a great reference for any food you want to check on.
My SIL recently found BTD. She said the big jug of Tums that she used to consume weekly is gone. Main culprit for her was orange juice. doc just wondering if you're having OJ? My SIL is an A, and I see you're an O, but OJ is an avoid for all but B'S, ya just never know. Welcome to all of you newbies! To TheSleeper..... that should be my name.

There's a lot of information on the whole web site, so I encourage you to click on links from the main page and explore. One of the things that I think all new (and old) members should do, is click on the Media Center page link, and find the time to view the learning films, and hear Dr. D lecture on blood type science, and listen to him on a few radio shows.
If there's a question you have and you can't get an answer, try searching the first message board archives, or searching Dr. D's ASK or even Heidi Merritt's column. Like I said, there's a wealth of information there. All it takes, is a little curiosity.
I hope you enjoy reading here, and participating in the forum. We are all here to help each other succeed on this new way of living/eating. It's a great place to come and get support.
Again, welcome!

Should be good - w/ pineapple being a beneficial (bennie) and OJ, an avoid.
I was going to suggest you replace your OJ with pineapple juice as well - your O body will love the change. (Or at least it should) Ever since I switched from OJ to pineapple juice it's been very easy to not have OJ. Even though I used to eat oranges and drink OJ quite a bit it's been one of the easiest avoids for me to actually be good about avoiding. Been over a year since I've had either. Unfortunately I can't say the same for wheat, dairy or corn

Well, thank you Peps! In fact I was in a situation where I was asked out to dinner after an event by a group of people.
The resturant we were at was very meat intensive.
So, I just looked over the menu and found a PB&J sandwich on the kid's menu.
Well, this meat eating group I was with looked at me sort of odd so I simply explained I was a "vegetarian".
The woman sitting next to me then said: " OH, I am a blood type O and I need my meat". She then went into how it has helped her health and some heath issues she has been struggling with.
I was so overjoyed to meet my first other BTDieter!
And then everyone else at the table started talking about being a blood O and how the diet has helped them! (wow a whole table of BTD'ers!)

IsisDC - that's so cool that you were at a table of BTDers - I think that is very rare to find. But it would make things a ton easier in terms of eating and knowing why someone ate a certain way if everyone just ate this way. I always hate having to explain why I eat the way I do - I think that's part of why I stray away from the BTD when I'm eating with other people.
Blessings, Missy

KK and mameline- Yes it was an odd find! And I really wasn't going to bring it up, but hey there is was!
Another instance was when I went out to eat with a fellow vegetarian whom I hadn't seen for a while. Her health was not doing well and she had confessed to me that she had started eating steak again and was feeling a lot better.
I asked her what her blood type was, she perked up, smiled and looked straight at me and said: "I'm an O and yes, I know I really have to start eating meat again".
I think the concept is really getting out to the mainstream.

Wow, how are you meeting these people? I almost never meet people who are on the BTD!!!
I met a Type A on the BTD at the HFS once and we were falling all over each other, we were so thrilled to meet a fellow BTDer! We stood there blocking the aisle and talking about the diet for a solid 10 or 15 minutes! Came away feeling: thank GOD I'm not an A *lol*! How they live on air and sprouts is beyond me, and I really dodged a bullet because my mom is Type A, my Dad was apparently Type B, so I could have been ANYTHING, I feel like I hit the jackpot by lucking into O-dom, whew!!! Pass the steak and tomatoes and keep 'em coming, people!

Peps- I get around a lot. But, I guess as this theory gets around even if people are not following it to the letter, they are at least aware of it and understand it, that in it's self is supportive.
And don't feel bad for us A's, we are gifted with "Gia's Diet".

Well, us O nons have a very chi-intensive diet, too! Lots and lots of veggies, fruits, fresh meats and seeds. Most people don't realize that even the O diet has vegetables at the "foundation" of the pyramid, when you think about what we should really be eating the most of, quantity-wise and proportion-of-our-diet-wise. That said, protein is at the foundation in another way, as in, us O nons fall apart without it. It isn't the quantity we need when it comes to protein, it is the quality, and the BTD is all about quality. I guess the BTD is too advanced and multi-faceted to be adequately represented by a pyramid model/diagram. Perhaps more of a mobius strip or something...uh oh, gotta go, later, gators!

Hi all newbies! Wow!! IsisDC you tell us that BTD has gone mainstream!!! You meet the right people right away!! Impressed..
Here in Holland I am trying to get BTD mainstream, have some great successes and disappointments as well.. But, I never stop telling about BTD when people want to know.
In my practice I only have positive results with my patients...
Yesterday I had some patients in the Colon Cleanse Center in Amsterdam!!! This combi works miracles!! Detoxing and better absorption in the intestines is the immediate result!! Had a type O coming back for her 3rd cleanse and she had lost centimeters in her waist and her skin was soo calm and not reddish and puffy anymore. She spreads the BTD gospel among her co-workers!!
Anyway guys, a warm welcome from a rainy Holland..
There are many people looking for alternatives to their drug-pushing MDs because they realize that the drugs are not really making them better. The more compliantly you eat (outside of your house), the more you'll find other people who either recognize or question why.... Healthy eating is definitely catching on.
I think the fact that the book LRFYT was in many stores everywhere for a while a year or so ago.
Cosco, Walmart, Target and other discount stores were carrying the book at some very good prices and it was available to the masses.
I think a lot of people have become at least aware of the diet and have sort of an idea of how it works even if they are not following it as closely as some of us are.
And ABJoe, you are so right, I think many people are turning to it as they have found the "one size fits all" dieting and is not working for them and their health issues.
Hi All, I am new too. I like reading the posts. I am a sucker for potato chips, all cheese, and any carb. This is bad news for the O type that I am. Any adjustment suggestions? I also live in an area whereby finding any food that is not sold at Walmart is difficult. I have almost no time to cook, so I find myself eating pizza and chips too often. A little background: I am a 26 yr old female. I have no idea what my secretor status is, but I do love salt (there is a poll in another thread). I just had my yearly physical and have high triglycerides, low neutrophils, high Eos and ablsolute Eos. (I do not know what all that means). Any advise or suggestion would be appreciated. I know I need to make a change, but I also know it will be very difficult. It is easy to slip back into old habits when time is not on your side.

Hello Frydaze, I don't know what Eos is but I know about high Triglycerides. In an B or an O they are usually the result of:eating to many refined carbohyrates like pizza(wheat) and chips(white potatoes usally fried in corn oil), a sweet tooth(corn syrup and wheat), to much fat around the waistline, lack of exercise, alcohol especially beer. Following the diet paying carefull attention to the avoids and exercising should start to clear that up. High triglycerides can be an early warning sign of type II diabetes also. About cooking time, cook large amounts on the weekend and warm them up. You will also be surprised that cooking can take less time than eating out if you count driving time.

think PROTEIN instead of carbs and try substituting whenever possible. being conscient about avoids is already a huge step forward!

Hi frydaze,
Browse around the site and become familiar with all the features here. If you look at the top right of the page, you will see a link called "member center." If you click on that link, it will take you to a page where you can pick an appropriate avatar, to represent your Blood Type Shield. This comes in handy when others are trying to help you answer questions. Also on that link you can create a special message under your shield, and a personal signature that will appear in all your posts.
First off, you do need to get off wheat and corn. For a Type O, these two are one of the WORST things you can put into your body. Have you stopped by the Candida threads or taken the Candida Spit Test? I've found that when individuals can't help eating wheat often the craving is candida based.
With any new program there are challenges. But if you can find the time to prepare food in advance (like making your breakfast and lunch during dinner time the night before) that can be half the battle.
Keep walnuts and pumpkin seeds in your car or work desk/area to snack on. Even beef jerkey that has a few avoids can be something that helps you avoid the bigger avoid problems.
Learn to love vegetables. They should be a big staple in your diet. I eat a 12 oz package of fresh/raw baby broccoli from Trader Joes daily.
Keep trying to make progress, even if it's baby steps. In time, you will see your progress and will not want to go back to the way you "used" to feel.
Again, welcome to the fourms!
Knowledge is power. SWAMI gives you the diet that will unlock the key to better health, and it's all based on your unique individuality.
If you don't/can't cook, following the diet is more difficult. In any case you will need to work at it. Your issues are typical of O's who don't eat right. Eating right and getting enough of the right excercise will go a long way for a long time. You are lucky to be so young!
The place to start may actually be working on your schedule so that you have more time to take care of yourself. Or find a wealthy 97 year old to make you his sole heir....lol.
What area do you live in? Will your resturant make things 'to order'? If the Wal-Mart is the kind with a regular grocery, they will have plenty of food options for you.
Thank you everyone for the great tips and encouragement! As gulfcoastguy mentioned, I am a sucker for alcohol as well. I have cut down on that a lot recently though. I also love coffee and cream. I think that will be one of my greater challenges. I made a delicious scallop dish last night with plenty of olive oil, green peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, and brown and wild rice. I was still hungry when I was finishing up. I think remaining hungry may be somethinig difficult for me to get used to. I rarely fill up (even after eating a big steak) unless I eat a few rolls. I work many hours per week, but I am working towards cutting back and concentrating on eating well and walking. I figured that there is no point in working so many hours if I am killing myself at it. Thanks again everyone. I am looking forward to growing. It is a new and somewhat exciting (although daunting) challenge for me
I used to be the way you described. I was hungry all the time. I think that you will find that once you get compliant on the BTD and your body adjust to it that you will not be hungry like that anymore. I eat all I want of the right foods at meals and then usually can go for many hours before I get hungry again.
I think eating a high protein breakfast is an important part of the process to achieve this.

Hey welcome to BTD. I have found that when I am hungry I also drink lots of water. Sometimes we mistake thirst for hunger.

frydaze, welcome! U sound like u have similar tastes to mine. If only potato chips were a Type O beneficial, I could live on them. My name is P-Twist and I'm a potato chip addict.
They were the last big avoid that I let go of. Took me YEARS into the diet to really let them go for good. I had long since at least switched from the partially-hydrogenated, horrid mainstream brands to a natural brand that was just potatoes, olive oil and salt, but even so, they were a drug to me and I would overeat them, plus they'd trigger cravings for other things. I got the latter part (the triggering cravings) under control when I figured out to always eat protein WITH them (mixed into the dip, baby, so something like salmon or tuna mixed into the dip...if you are like me, you HAVE to have a dip with your chips, otherwise, what is the point?). But I was still overeating them. Finally, I gave them up entirely. There are other things you can have, but I had to give up some of the following, also, as anything in a "chip form" is too reminiscent of my "drug of choice" (potato chips), and thus a no go for me. I'll asterisk what I no longer have, but what you can have on the BTD if you wish:
1. Sweet potato chips* (try to get a brand that is just simple and pure, like "Solea") 2. Rice cakes, broken up and then with olive oil, sea salt (and nutritional yeast, if desired) added. Great chip (and popcorn!) substitute! You can use dark-toasted sesame oil instead of olive, and other spices with whatever oil (I LOVE Spectrum organic olive oil with these), such as curry powder. DA BOMB. I like just olive oil and sea salt (sometimes with nutritional yeast). JUST like popcorn! I don't have this by itself too much because rice cakes trigger carb binges for me just like chips, HOWEVER, again, if I have protein with it, it's all good. Except I will tend to eat these to the exclusion of veggies and fruits, so that is why I have to really get out of my rice cake phase, now that I have a working kitchen again and thus no excuse not to cook, yay! 3. Make a "faux Chex party mix" using crumbled up Mary's Gone Crackers brand, herb flavored, wheat-free crackers, mixed with Eden Organic Shelled Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. This is surprisingly DELISH, full of fiber, and half-beneficial! Great snack or cereal substitute for breakfast. To turn it into a trail mix instead of a faux Chex party mix, add the dried fruit of your choice, such as raisins or dried cranberries.
That's it for now for chip substitutes. Don't want to overload you with the dazzling array of choices *lol*! Welcome again, fellow chip lover! There IS life after potato chips, take heart!
As for the ice cream situation....take heart there, too! You can make fabulous fruit smoothies out of banana, pineapple (or other, such as cherry) juice, and frozen berries such as blueberries or raspberries. FABULOUS!
In short: Anything that you love, pre-BTD, there is something even BETTER on the BTD side of the fence. Oh yeah, and to turn the above smoothie into "faux ice cream", just add in some nutbutter like almondbutter until you reach the desired thickness. Oh yeah, babe.
Edited to add: Use Lundberg brand rice cakes. All the other brands s*ck and are like light styrofoam. Good for packaging material, but even all the olive oil and salt I put on them can't disguise their styrofoam hearts. By contrast, the Lundberg rice cakes are very good and just like popcorn, basically. No, they are BETTER, actually! Wu HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!
...Oh, calm down, all, I'm slowly weaning myself away from these and onto more fruit and veg, now that my kitchen is a go.

wow, P-Twist! Thanks for all the tips! I am just on-line looking for some hearty, grass fed meat to order. I am drooling thinking of all the steaks I can eat! I tried a wheat-free gluten free baking flour substitute the other day. It was absolutely terrible. I have decided it is real carbs or no carbs for me. I am slowly backing off the carbs, but if I eat any, they have to be chock full of wheaty goodness. I do like rye and oats though, I think I can substitue most things for those. Speaking of chips, I recently (pre BTD) became addicted to wheat thins chips as a substitute to regular chips (my favorite was natural kettle cooked *sigh*). Now, I find wheat is not so great for me either. Ah well, it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved before, right? Well, off to work. Thanks again for the tips!

There is a wonderful 100% rye bread called "French Meadows 100% Rye with Flaxseed". Fabulous, but you must toast it, otherwise it goes from fabulous to hideous. Also, do NOT buy the rice bread by the same company, as it contains wheat flour, which IRKS me, but moving on...

Well, first of all, wheat is WAY worse for Type O's than potato chips could ever hope to be. The wheat lectin seems to have been tailormade by nature to be destructive to all systems Type O. So, instead of Wheat Thins, try Mary's Gone Crackers (herb flav) mixed with pumpkin seeds. I'm tellin' ya, this tastes exactly like Chex Party Mix! The MGC by themselves would be a good sub for Wheat Thins. They are also high in fiber (they have flaxseeds). You can check in your health food store for other rice crackers (most have avoids, that's why I like MGC, as it has virtually none). Second of all, omg, you have good taste, the Kettle Chips were my fave, too! Turn away, walk towards the light! I totally feel your pain!
Also, this is sort of another topic and sort of not: if you feel a carb craving sweeping over you, try eating SALMON. Salmon stops carb cravings. So does, surprisingly, fresh grapefruit. Eat half of a fresh grapefruit and your carb craving will IMMEDIATELY vanish into the mists (if you are like me, which, sadly for you, I fear you are *lol*).
Also, some BTDers on this board make their own sweet potato chips by slicing very thin sweet potato slices and baking (roasting? Brig, don't kill me because I don't have my cooking terms straight--eek!) them with olive oil or ghee and the spices of their choice. You can use other root veggies instead (like Kohlrabi, which I have yet to find, even after driving an hour to the nearest WF to hunt for it), too.
For every avoid, there is a BTD alternative that is usually even BETTER, yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
*Except for coffee with non-dairy creamer. There is no substitute for that. Let's just be honest. That one just has to be wistfully pined for occasionally, like when you smell the aroma from a co-worker's ozone-depleting styrofoam cup.

Somehow, styrofoam cups and non-dairy creamer just seem to be a perfect match!

Oh my, my biggest weakness, even bigger than chips, is espresso with half and half. Oh my! I have so long to go. I just bought some sesame rice cakes. They are sitting here waiting for me. I have a hard time plunging into things that I think may taste the way they look. I have had Ezekiel bread in my freezer for months now, untouched. I like the grapefruit and salmon tip. Thanks again! I will definitely try that. I think trying to eat grapefruit will turn my stomache anyway. I have a feeling that I will be like you, P-Twist, even the thought of a delicious chip will kill me. I am going to *try* to stay away from any chip-like object for a while anyway....
frydaze, Try putting those rice cakes into the toaster until they begin to smell great. Don't let them actually begin to turn brown....that's too long. Just a bit of light toasting will make them delicately crisp with a great flavor. Spread them with something compliant that you already love to eat. I put almond butter with chopped walnuts on mine, drizzled with a little blackstrap molasses. But that's just me. Some people like sliced meat, or mozarella cheese, or spreads, or ghee and nutritional yeast. . .

Thanks Victoria, I made my rice cakes swim in honey. I felt like a little kid because I had to eat them quickly, before all the honey fell on my clothes. They were good, but I do not usually eat sweet food, and I think I have a honey hang over today. My head is killing me!
Location: Fukushima Fall-Out Zone (a.k.a., planet earth)
Why don't you make the easy rice cake popcorn I was talkin' about earlier in the thread? You just break up the rice cakes, add some good quality olive oil, some sea salt, and any other spices to taste (like garlic, oregano, curry, nutritional yeast flakes, whatever) and ba-da-bing, ba-da-boom, you have a fab popcorn alternative. I prefer savory to sweet, too. Honey on rice cakes would be a no go to me. I would at least have to have nutbutter on there with it or something. Otherwise, oh dear. Too sweet.
Edited to add: you could also put dark-toasted sesame oil, nutritional yeast, salt, and just a tiny dash of lemon juice* together and put THAT on your rice-cake crumble for something with a deliciousness quotient that you just can't believe. See "Car 54's spread" floatin' around sticky in the Cook Right forum, I believe. I'm the artist formerly known as Car 54!
* lemon juice would be optional for this "poprice", you could just do the dark-toasted sesame oil, sea salt, and nutri. yeast....oh YEAH, babe.

Hi everyone, I am so new that I had Dairy Queen last night.... my daughter just got a job there. This is going to be SO hard. Maybe not. Here is a little history. I take 5 different medications 4 different times a day. I have no thyroid, fibromyalgia, I'm overweight, I have chronic migraines, I feel anxious most of the time..... About two years ago I started seeing a Chiropractor after a car accident and started making some healthier life changes. My family thinks I'm nuts. Last weekend a good friend gave me Dr. D's book. I've read the first few chapters, looked at my Avoid list, growled at it and made the decision that I can do this (but not until after the highly stressful family reunion that starts tonight and goes through the weekend.) I'd really like to meet an "A" mentor here in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. My new Chiropractor has fibro and I just found out she has followed this lifestyle for years. I'm really excited and hopeful this may be exactly what I've been searching for in the bottom of a pill bottle for the past 15 years. More than anything I want to feel good. I'm 42 years old. I can't sit on the floor and play a game with my 11 year old daughter. I can't walk a mile. I feel tired all the time. I have not a clue what I'm doing with this new lifestyle, I know I'll be here a lot posting and asking for help - at least until the fog in my mind clears a bit. I'm so glad I found this forum though.

Good luck through the reunion! And get ready to learn some powerful ways to start healing your body.

My wife is an A and about the same age... We live in CA, but the world is small with the internet...
We are relative newbies to the BTD and changing slowly to be more compliant. I am the leader, since I am the one who was sickest, therefore, able to gain the most benefit. My wife is seeing benefits just by eating more beneficials and reducing the avoids, even though she still needs to eat more fruits and vegetables. In time...
The brain fog will clear as you eat less avoids and allow the body to clear the residual garbage and heal. High toxicity levels seem to really play havoc with the thought processing and short term memory.
Thanks Victoria, I made my rice cakes swim in honey. I felt like a little kid because I had to eat them quickly, before all the honey fell on my clothes. They were good, but I do not usually eat sweet food, and I think I have a honey hang over today. My head is killing me!
I don't know where my sweet tooth went. I can remember the times when I was crazy for sweets, and poured great amounts of honey or maple syrup over things. I didn't think about it until this post of yours, and I was surprised to note that Pep Twist's savory rice cakes appeal to me now instead of the sweet version. I think the BTD has renovated my programs!
But hey, at least you're eating rice cakes. They're way preferable to dozens of other kinds of carbs, in my opinion.
