Hi, my name is Sandy, I live in Yorba Linda, Ca. and I am new to the BTD, started in May. I am an O and so far it hasn't been too difficult. I have CRFYT and have found that helpful. I have been pleasantly surprised when I saw the inches melting off my hips, no real weight loss. Has anyone else experienced this? It has leveled off now, darnn! I have had a hard time learning how to post on this forum. I hope this goes through. If it does and I get the hang of this I will write more.
Hi Sandy, I'm Caroline...I love "kinda" close to you...I live in Ventura County, but was raised and I spend alot of time on Balboa Island. Really glad to have another person in Southern California. I am also a O, but a nonnie. So glad to have you! Caroline
Sound of the ocean soothes my restless soul Sound of the ocean rocks me all night long. Last night in my dream I saw your face again We were there in the sun On a white sandy beach of Hawaii
Hello everyone. My name is Lindalee. This is my first official day on the program. I have a question about Dr. D's book "Diabetes, Fight it with the Blood Type Diet" I'm an "O" and I'm confused on the grains section listed on page 51 of the book. It indicates I'm not allowed to have wheat, millet, Barley. However, under the section titled Neutral: Allowed frequently is has listed "Ezekiel 4:9 bread. When I looked at the ingrediients on the package of bread, it included Barley, Wheat gluten and Millet. So how come it's listed under the ok to use column??? Can you help me with that. I'm excited about this program, my intuition says this is going to work for me. I have high cholesterol, high tri's and am about 20 lbs overweight. I think my biggest challenge will be breakfast...I was a big cereal eater. Thanks for listening and if anyone knows the answer about the Ezekiel bread let me know. Lindalee
I pulled out my magic wand and aimed it at your signature
Welcome and congratulations to all the newbies, you'll continue to get good advice here. It took me 4 months to try the diet from the time I figured out that it was what I should do (joint pain, near pre-diabetes, overweight, eczema, depression, etc. etc.)...so glad I did!

Thanks Don, Melissa and Lola. I just went through the FAQ and found alot of help there, including staying with just the Beneficials if I want to lose weight...gee can't sneak that bread in yet! Thanks for the welcome, and Melissa, noticed you're pregnant congratulations. Let me know if it's multiples! I can give you lots of support!
Thanks! I thought it was twins at first, but it's just one very active, very hungry little boy (my second boy) My sister-in law has twin girls, less than 2 years younger than her first girl, so they run around together like triplets. Should really be a handful when they're teenagers! How old are yours?

I am new as well and I happen to live in the Bahamas, the play ground of the rich and the famous. Bye the way, I am an "A."
I was always of the view that the foods we eat determined, to a great extent, the extent of our health; so, I was always in serach of a good Health Program. I believe, finally, I have found the right program.
My immediate problem is to get rid of the Fungus in my Blood. I tried Medication, Folk Medecine and Supplements, all to no avail. The colour of the Toe Nails of my two big toes are black and they are numbish, now.
Apart frm the Fongus, I am in robust health according to my Doctor.

POst any specific questions you may have by starting a new topic under any of the forum sub-sections.
Caprylic acid, 350 mg; 1-2 caps, 2x/day away from food
Betaine HCL 250 mg, 1 cap with large meals
Oregon Grape, 250-500 mg, 1-2 caps, twice daily
Larch arabinogalactan, 1T, 2x/day
Probiotic, preferably A specific
Non-secretors: add zinc, 15 mg/day
---------
General tip:
You will notice to the right of my post an avatar identifying me as type A.
To identify yourself as type A, it would be helpful if you would have a type A avatar. Luckily, it is easy to get a cool "A" icon:
(1) Go to the top right side of this Web page and click on the purple Member Center button. This brings up a new page. A lot of options are listed on the left side of the new page.
(2)Iin the "Edit Profile" section of the list on the left side-select " Avatar Settings." This brings up avatar setting options.
(3) Select an "A Avatar" from the "Images in gallary" list box.
(4) Finally click the save button at the base of the page.
It really is that simple to get an avatar and then you will not need to keep typing that you are an A.

Thanks to all of you for being here...I am at home recovering from cartilage repair surgery, starring at the two little holes peeking at me from my left hip. In the process I learned that I have an ever-so-slight softening in an area in my newly explored posterior, inferior hip. What?? Me? The only books I've read since Tuesday are the Eat Right for Your Type series that have been calling to me for a couple of months.
I read these books a couple of years ago, got started for a short time...didn't search for support...and disappeared into the wheat-y world around me, now becoming a plagued Type O (+). I even wrote a letter to Dr. D'Adamo regarding my immediate and unbelievable results...and asked him to have a louder voice in the world as I felt his work could save lives.
I guess it took these two little holes to help me realize that my Type O, "Type A", first born, ENTJ personality needs real help, focus...and to slow down. My Mom has been telling me this for a long time now....
I hope I can look to these forums and this site for advice and help. I'm just getting started and have so much respect for those who've moved beyond the daily effort of getting rid of the "avoids".....this is a--void for me right now
I've ordered the secretor test kit....and had no wheat or dairy today. I'm searching for good food sources in our little city of Boise, Idaho. I'm a transplant here, but it looks like there are good sources of organic beef.
Its just me and my two little holes, one day at a time, and heading back to work on Monday.
Welcome aboard, lots of supportive friends here on the site. Check out the Testemonials and bloggers for inspiration. Some of the foods recommended for O's, and others, have changed as new studies are continually being made. Click on "Solutions" at the top of the page and then "TYPEbase4:..." to see what is acceptable for us O's. Cheers for a speedy recovery! - Howard

Hi Rosie,
You sound like a pretty "hip" woman.
Oh Mercy
Well, you're at the right place for recovery. If you follow the diet, and boost your system with some of the supplemental programs available (see the Protocols in The Blood Type Encyclopedia if you have it) then you should be up and about in no time.
You are most probably in the perfect place to start "the new you" because you won't have many other things to distract you. Here's to a successful recovery.
Aaron.
P.S. Welcome aboard.

Thanks for helping me getting set up....what a great site.
We spent this morning "detoxifying" the kitchen. Looks like we just moved in ...except for the plums, bananas and almonds. Of course, the scariest moment was when I read the label on the strawberry twizzlers in the freezer...corn syrup and wheat flour are the first four words. Horrifying. I feel like I'm in a Lucasfilm just waiting for the next special effect....
