Description:A 1991 study from India linked the gastrointestinal pathogen Shigella to blood types which cannot manufacture anti-B antibodies (type B and AB) In their study, on 85 patients with clinically and bacteriologically proven shigella infection A significant association of blood type B was observed in comparison to controls.
