Fungal disease, Candidiasis (vaginal)


Description:ABH non-secretors have a higher incidence of candia vaginitis. Women with recurrent idiopathic vulvovaginal Candidiasis are much more likely to be ABH non-secretors. Combining both ABH non-secretor phenotype and absence of the Lewis gene Lewis (a- b-), the relative risk of chronic recurring vulvovaginal Candidiasis is between 2.41-4.39, depending on the analysis technique and control group.
