Living my dream....
June 17th, 2010 , by Cocky (A)Only a few boardmembers know of my dream of establishing a center in France (preferably in Auvergne or Midi-Pyrenees) where people can stay for holiday, for wellness, for nutritional advice, or all combined during their holiday, weekend, congress or whatever! Or just for pampering their worn out, stressed tortured bodies and minds.. Beneficial treatment like massage, sauna, hot-tub, and more delights in a healthy, safe haven in order to re-find and re-connect with themselves. A place to regenerate, rejuvenate, to enjoy the beauties of nature like hiking, rafting, swimming, just to find how awesome life is once you open your eyes and heart for the beauty around you.
A center where there is peace, stillness, gorgeous nature, nearby lakes, canyons, with good food, good company and silent and dark nights.. No noise nor light pollution. Just basic, simply enjoying the gifts of nature in its purest form..
All this I found in the mountain areas in France such as Tarn, Cantal and the Allier. I have lost my heart to the French ‘campagne’. With its tranquility, kindness of the locals, the time people have for eachother, the quality of caring deeply for eachother, and moreover the feeling of responsability for eachother. A quality we, working urbans, lost when moving into the cities in the course of time.. A quality so vital for staying healthy in body and mind and… a quality for keeping a society alive, tolerant, inspiring and worth living in..
My husband and I have this dream for a long time, in fact since we met, we knew we wanted to start an ‘entreprise’ for health and advice in a healthy environment, to have our own garden loaded with vegetables, fruittrees, to have our own waterwell, to eat eggs of our chickens, milk and cheese of our own goats and more… In fact we want to live as close as possible to nature and to live of the land. We want to be host and hostess for people seeking these same qualities to share with them.
In the past years we have been ‘estate-hunting’ from the Morvan, Bretagne, Pyrenees and recently we have spotted a farm in Tarn. Real estate properties ranging from expensive ready-to-move-in to less expensive, but in need of renovation to upgrade it to our needs. Too much money for us to afford, so we look for a farm to rent, to lease or hire-purchase.
I think it would be awesome to host a wellness farm to guide people to listen to their inner voice and see them leave again refreshed, with reloaded batteries.
A place where you can do culinary workshops, learning that cooking is more than opening a pizza box and put in the oven.. A place where one can do painting, carpentry, cheesemaking, breadbaking (of spelt of course!), spiritual courses, or just spend some time with friends to enjoy eachother’s company, to experience in essence what life is really about…
Perhaps a place where EU BTD/GTD gatherings annex culinary clinics can be held. My Hans is a cook by profession and well introduced in BTD and GTD cooking. So that is settled then!![]()
Well, that is my dream and I sincerely hope this year my dream will be realized and that we can move to France for good.. I do keep visualizing and forwarding my thoughts into space..
Meantime I keep dreaming..![]()

Genotype is the magic word!
March 8th, 2010 , by Cocky (A)Yesterday a belgian friend, the teacher who invited me to Mechelen last year in April for a powerpointpresentation and cookclinic for students, sent me the link of an article of the DNA diet.. Research in USA shows that your DNA has preference/ability to digest fats, carbs or proteins... This sounds familiar...
Have these scientists never heard of Peter D'Adamo???
Or they are too confident of their visions and too tunnelsighted themselves to even think that the DNAdiet is already alive??? Contacting Peter, would save them a lot of research...
I commented on the belgian and dutch newspaper links.. And people start calling/mailing me for an appointment, to have their Genotype determined! Three appointments for next week. Good.. ![]()
Will the Netherlands, at last, be ready for the Genotypediet?? That will make my day
Take care

Time passes so quickly...
February 17th, 2010 , by Cocky (A)Bit shocked to find that it was more than a year ago since I blogged, could not find my logincode nor my password anymore
and had to ask Peter for my coordinates. Dr. D mailed me back if I were to blog regularly??
Yes sir!!
it's a promise... ![]()
So I am back blogging again
This past year has been eventful so to say. My practice skyrocketed during the summermonths and has been flat again lately. But the clients were all satisfied with the nutritional and lifestyle changes since then.. And that is what counts, happy and more healthy people who help themselves once befriended with BTD and/or GTD.
The talks I have with, mostly women, in my practice Uniek Gezond, are about food for their bodies, but also food for the mind. Women are a special species.. Always serving others, husband, kids and last of all, or never at all serving themselves. The training I had as a coach helps me tremendously to listen more intently .. To confront them gently with the fact that physical, emotional problems come from their not accepting themselves as equal persons. What I try to surface in them is to stand up for themselves and to start loving themselves first of all!
How can you expect an other person to be nice/lovable/kind to you if you don't apply these qualities to yourself first???
Once we become stronger in a physical way by adhering to BTD or GTD you get stronger in your mind is my personal experience.. So this is the prioritizing I advise. First things first! A strong mind can only live in a strong body!! Right?
I have regular contact with some clients and it is awesome to see them grow healthier and see them start working again after a long period of unemployment. So good to see them start losing weight for the first time in their lives, to see their skins become radiant again!! In short they become the persons they long to be!! Those qualities were latently present and emerge once you take proper care of your body and mind!
All this I gladly witness in my clients while I myself have gone that road myself before.
BTD came in my life in 1999 and since then the veil lifted in my own life and I could stand up and choose the life I wanted to live, to become the person I wanted to be. But my body had to be strong first.. BTD fixed it for me together with the right people who were there for me on the right moment and moreover, I was ready to listen..
Life is awesome and full of adventures to engage in, once you can pursue your passions and become the person you need to be.
Take care all!

Time to think..
December 24th, 2008 , by Cocky (A)Long time since I blogged about my tibetan doc..
I had my second visit back in november. Again a nice meeting with the Amcha. My urine was checked again and considered improved.
My energy level has much improved since my first visit. My bp was a bit on the high side... perhaps too much energy flooding in my veins??
The amcha gave me a variety of herbal teas to lower my bp, named Trak-Shey Tea. Another herbal tea Tobmeen Chudue Gyatso being a health tonic and Gaay-Pa-Sowae-Chulen, an elixir of Rejuvenation.
BP has gone down to normal these past few months. I know my bp goes up and down very quickly..
Last July/August some 5 polyps were removed from my uterus. The results were that the tissue had ATP but was not complex.. So immediate action was not necessary. I am expected back in the office of my gynaecologist at the end of january to see if further action must be undertaken...
I have been taking Helix Plus since then, as Peter told me to do...
What more can I do, besides adhering to my A-Teacher diet to keep my body healthy? I try to take life as it comes to me. I keep my mind sane by keeping a positive outlook in the world.. I try to accept people the way they are, by not judging them.. Live and let live is my motto and offer my help advice when people ask for it.. Most of the times I sense when something is wrong with people I meet.. I have learnt in these past years that to keep an open, tolerant mind and attitude towards others is crucial for good relationships. When positive energy flows between me and the people I meet, I feel happy..
The art of life is what Khalil Gibran told us: Life is a balance, a scale.
When you talk with happiness at your kitchentable, unhappiness sleeps in your bed.
The art of life is to accept and embrace the unhappiness in it and grant it a place in your existence. The moment you accept it, integrate it, it is turned and gives you another perspective to all things that matter to you. That is my experience dealing with my life in these past years.
Happiness is a choice you make! I am convinced of that. I wanted to be happy and made some huge changes in my personal life. The steps to be made horrified and paralized me for years.. With the help of a very dear friend I made them. One door shut and after french windows were opened..
How many people keep hanging in an unhappy relationship?? Too many I think. Everybody has the birthright to be happy. So choose for it!
This story has a happy ending!! Oh yes! I got married yesterday! My friend Hans and I made solems vows to eachother. We were married just by ourselves.. No one present.
Our adult kids (Hans and I have each 3 adult sons and daughters) still do not wish to contact us.. A wish we both respect without judging them. Our exes are still dealing with the past.. I hope some day in the future our kids will grant us a place in their lives. A decision they must make themselves. I cannot, may not, claim, force anything..
They all know the door of our house will be open to them always..
So happiness and grief live next to eachother, balancing eachother, giving life its depth we need to become the persons we want to be..

Traditional Tibetan Medicine in Holland...
September 12th, 2008 , by Cocky (A)This week was a week of enlightment..
A week ago a client/friend of mine visited a Tibetan doctor (Amchi), because despite her disciplined adherence to her Gatherer diet, including the necessary physical exercise, she still cannot sleep
and sleep being of vital importance to her wellbeing she came up with this Tibetan doctor.
A doctor who had been one of the Dalai Lama's physicians for 2 years.
My friend was stupefied by the speed of his correct diagnosis. She adheres to his advice and already her sleep has improved..
So, I was intrigued and decided to make an appointment as well.
Last Tuesday I went and took my morning urine with me. I entered his room, a room breathing a calm and welcome atmosphere. I was impressed by his sympathetic calm and kindness.
He looked at my urine and felt both my pulses. He told me I had a slight inflammation in my female organs and that my left kidney was low in energy.. Explaining the fatigue I was suffering from these last six months. Adrenal fatigue so to say..
In July and August some polyps were removed from my uterus, so that explains the remnants of an inflammation and my left kidney has indeed been troubling me since 1998.
The Amchi prescribed me tibetan herbs, in the morning before breakfast and after dinner in the evening. Crush 3 'balls', each ball being a compilation of 15 tibetan herbs and pour boiling water over it.. Have you ever tasted mud?? Well the potion is just like that..
Enriched with a prevailing odour of nauseating nutmeg entering my nostrils. I must say I have experienced more frivolous scents in my life...
Today is the first day of not being overwhelmed by these vapours. Pfff.... better!
In 2 months time and.... having digested 120 balls of mud, I am expected back with the Amchi.
Guess what, this Doc gave me a foodlist 85% exactly my TypeA/Teacherlist!! We talked about the GTD and BTD and he knew the BTD by name... I mentioned Peter as being the Doc of BTD and GTD.
Next year the Amchi will start lecturing again about Traditional Tibetan Medicine here in Holland and I am invited to attend..
Well, must say Traditional Tibetan medicine is 2500 years old and has proven itself..
A tradional way of healing by looking at the skin, tongue, pulse, urine, looking at the whole body and mind.
Modern medicine is completely different, just fighting symptoms.. Where did we lose contact with nature, with ourselves??
I sincerely hope that more people will start listening to their bodies and feed their bodies and their minds properly.. Because it is the only way leading to longevity, health and thus happiness.
Take care and talk to you later!
