Independence Day
July 5th, 2008 , by marthaHappy July! Here in the US, we are celebrating the 4th of July. Businesses close for a long holiday weekend, and everyone looks forward to barbecues, being outside, fireworks, and parades. We have our own independence to celebrate, as we have just been through closing out an IT project that was one of the biggest disappointments I’ve experienced at NAP. Lots of money, lots of promise, and the inability to deliver… all the things that are the antithesis of who we are as a company. Out of the ashes, a renewed NAP has risen, with a clear sense of direction, a rededication to our mission for providing state of the art nutritional supplements, quality service, continuing education about our products and support materials and an overhaul of our internet services.
You’ve probably already seen the invigorated 4yourtype.com site, as well as enhancements to dadamo.com. Peter’s programming skills are phenomenal, and our disappointment with our outsourced site has been replaced with shock and awe as everyday there are new features that are popping up on the site with many more in the works which will launch over the next two months.
As part of our restructuring of our IT function, we’ve enhanced our email outreach programs and newsletters. If you did not receive our latest newsletter, you can read it here and then click on the button on the bottom to subscribe. There are in depth product reviews as well as product snapshots. This issue’s focus was Histona, one of our new and yet fairly unknown products. Given all the stress of the last few months, I quickly grabbed a bottle after reading the articles!
Thanks to all of our ShareRighters who participated in the launch of our new program. It’s been great to see all the enthusiasm surrounding this referral program, and it’s been nice to meet your friends and families!
If you are a NAP professional account, sit tight-- some amazing things are coming!
Enjoy the warm nights and the fireflies of July,
Martha
ShareRight!
June 3rd, 2008 , by adminIt’s been a busy month for us at NAP. We’ve been the beneficiaries of Peter’s programming genius. In four weeks time he has completely redesigned our webstore --adding new product details and information including never before published monographs on each of the GenoTypes. If you haven’t been to the store in a while, you should check it out. It’s an enriching experience!
After almost a year in development, we are proud to announce the launch of ShareRight, the NAP customer referral program.
ShareRight was developed in response to the large number of inquiries from folks who wanted to share product information with their friends and families. We've designed the program to reward those customers who refer others to our company. Every time one of your referrals purchases NAP products you receive 5% of the value of their order as bonus points. The friends and family that you've referred also receive a 5% discount on their product purchases. Bonus points are then used as credits towards your future purchases of NAP products.
If you've already registered for ShareRight, an email with your ShareRight Number should be winging its way towards you as you read this blog. If you haven't registered and would like to join, visit the ShareRight landing page to learn more about the program, then register via email or call NAP directly at (1-203-761-0042).
Once you register and receive your ShareRight number, you will be given access to a special page of downloadable handouts and other cool tools to allow you to better explain the key concepts behind the BTD/GTD way of personalized nutrition.
Every time your friends order, your account will be updated to reflect the number of points earned. Whenever you place an order, the accumulated points will be applied to your purchase. The benefits to you are two-fold: You've shared valuable, potentially life-saving information with your friends and you've received credit towards your purchases of NAP products!
April Sunshine
April 9th, 2008 , by marthaWe have made it through one of the gloomiest winters to date. Spring has taken her sweet time getting here, and we’ve all been feeling a little Vitamin D deprived!
It’s been astounding to me to witness the increased awareness of Eat Right 4 Your Type since the launch of The GenoType Diet. Eat Right is continually #1 or #2 on the Amazon Healthy books bestsellers list, and two weeks ago, Peter had 5 books in the top 25!
It’s interesting for me to talk with people about Blood Type and GenoType, and I am always surprised when I make these synchronistic connections. In February, I was flying back from vacation, and as the flight was over booked, we had our seats split so that two of us sat in one spot and two in another. As I sat down grumbling about being in the last row of the plane, I was greeted with a wide open smile from the woman sitting in the window seat. We started talking, and we realized that we shared a number of interests as women and as parents with college bound children. Conversation turned to our work, and alas! She not only knew of the blood type diet, but she follows it herself and she has close family friends who had had tremendous experiences with it. It was the fastest flight I had ever been on, and it ended with us snapping pictures of each other and Peter in the airport and the promise to stay in touch…which we have.
March arrived, and my dear friend, Regina, invited me to a spring concert she underwrites for Dorot (www.dorotusa.org), a center in NYC that supports the elderly population on the upper west side. I went to the concert (which was sublime) and then afterwards to the reception. I was speaking with the executive director, who asked me what I do. I mentioned Blood Type and GenoType, and she gasped. She grabbed a woman sitting in the office off the reception room who had just been to the NY Open Center lecture that Peter gave two weeks ago. We talked about the difference this work has made in her life, and it reminded me of the tremendous value this work holds for people who are committed to living their healthiest lives.
It starts with a drop of blood, and no matter how often I’ve seen someone’s blood type come to life on the blood typing kit card, I am always caught by the magical, mysterious wisdom of nature. This quality continues with GenoType…the awe of seeing our uniqueness in our fingerprints, and the power that these black smudges offer as we design our health and wellness strategies for ourselves, our families and those we love (or like, or work with or sit next to on a plane!).
I was struck by how strongly people want to share this information with others…the excitement of having found something that answered a question for them and that helped them, and the desire to pass this along. This grassroots movement has been the foundation of the growth of the blood type concept, and we see this at work as more and more people hear about GenoType. A great example of this is Larry Nesbit, and the Eat Righter’s community he has built in Crossville, TN. Larry has brought together more than 800 people, teaches weekly classes on how to incorporate these principles into daily life, built a thriving co-op and has dedicated himself to sharing the life changing opportunities that come from living an authentic “right 4 your type” life. As one of our IfHI masters, Larry has undertaken the huge task of hosting a training in Crossville in October 2008, which will be the first ever IfHI-supported training held by one of our members. It’s a one day intensive, and Peter will be teaching the foundations of blood type and genotype, Larry will be teaching how to incorporate these practices into day to day life, and IfHI will offer the fellow exam for attendees who would like to take this work further in their lives.
Hope to see some of you there.
Happy spring!
Martha
