About Rachel
I'm an entrepreneur, inventor, former professional polo player. I have 3 patents issued to me, 2 more patents pending and 3 additional provisional patents filed. I was in the top 5 women polo players in the world when I quit playing in 1994. I was the number one intercollegiate polo player in the world in 1984. I have BS degree in animal science from Cornell University 1984. My degree is in Animal Science.
I am 5'11" tall with an athletic, muscular build. I am referred to as an Amazon, which is a good description. I weight 220 lbs, but no one would ever guess that as I am a typical size 14. Would like to weigh 160 lbs, which would put me at a thin size 9. I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for 15 years - no other marriages. I have one child, a daughter - age 5.
I am a health and fitness enthusiast, and believe strongly and follow alternative medicine and approaches to health. I am a long time dieter, and, unfortunately, one who has struggled with weight issues most of her life. I am very spiritual, but not religious. I am a pacifist, a humanist and an anarchist (throw the bugs out!).
I am extremely interested in world health, the cessation of suffering and torture and women's issues. My goal is to fund different associations whose goals are in line with mine, as well as to start up a fund for women entrepreneurs. I enjoy gardening and being outside when I have the time. I work out daily, doing everything from running to step aerobics to dance classes. I come from a musical family and still take piano lessons weekly - this will be my 35th year of piano.
I belong to Amnesty International. I look forward to the day when my business moves out of "start up" and I can afford to support this wonderful group more fully.
