We’ve had a fairly nice weather-wise week. The temperatures have been fairly mild with highs up to the mid 30’s and lows usually in the 20’s. It is beginning to drop down a bit, but nothing like it was a few weeks ago. The downside of the warmer weather is the snow has melted just enough that the Fur Rendezvous World Championship Dogsled Races for this weekend have been canceled. This is the third time in the past seven years that has happened. We had planned on driving to Anchorage this weekend to watch my husband’s cousin race his team. Guess we might just go up for a few hours instead. I still have a bag of Christmas gifts to deliver!

I made a nice pot roast dinner with lots of veggies for tonight. My crockpot gets a work out during the winter. It is so nice to be able to put whatever we are having for dinner in the crockpot and let is do its thing. We are almost always pleased with the results.

There’s not much else going on until early March when the Arctic Winter Games will be held. My husband and one of the twins are signed up to work security. The influx of people will make running my errands a bit more difficult, but it is only for one week (I hope) and then things should get back to normal.
