Monday, Monday…
March 8th, 2004 , by adminMonday, Monday…can’t trust that day…
I am so overwhelmed with the amount of cognitive work that I’ve forced upon myself these past eight months. I’m getting tired and burnt out. The sunshine is back, spring is in the air…and that means that smog is returning (good-bye picturesque mountain views), the heat will be unbearable and sitting in traffic will find my clothing soaked through with sweat. Charming, eh?
There’s nothing like starting out the week in a grouchy mood!! Tee hee, anyhow, it is a fresh day to work on the BTD. I also printed up a list of Tier Two bennies to load up on this week; we shall see how that goes. My goal is to drop 10 pounds by April 7th (a full four weeks from yesterday). I’ve only lost five pounds total since January, so I’m looking to make this stick.
I’m tired of feeling so ugly and yucky, and with my coursework/driving conditions drastic measures are needed. I’m of course going to still eat (too old to starve myself anymore), but I’m going to lay off sugar/honey in my coffee and tea. I’m also going to lay off the very non-compliant Girl Scout Cookies and any other processed sweets. Beyond my regular swims, I’ve re-begun my quick cardio morning workout and will throw sneakers in the car so that study breaks find me taking a brisk walk around campus rather than hopping on-line in the library. I’d like to include some weight training, but the (free) campus fitness lab is open at times that are inconvenient for me. There may be some opportunity on Wednesday, Friday and the weekends…so that will be a goal to work on. The yoga thing keeps falling through because I have no extra money and none of the scheduled times fit.
Blast this crazy year!!! At any rate, I hope that this finds YOU all well and compliant. Thanks for letting me rant…yet again!!
