Answers to Questions
Just wanted to hop on quick and answer a couple of questions that have come through. Please remember that I am in no way a medical doctor. I am simply reporting what I found.
Buttermilk is listed as an avoid for AB's in the TYPEbase 3 program. Personally, I wouldn't give up any family traditions for an avoid food (the mental anguish would be worse for me than eating a couple of pancakes and enjoying the company of my loved ones).
Coffee is also listed as an avoid for the AB's in the TYPEbase 3 program. Again, personally, if we're not to drink coffee or black tea...how is life worth living?! For me, moderation is the key and if my tummy gets upset from coffee, then I just eat something (soak up the acid) and move on.
So anyhow...your best judgement is all that you can use for yourself (and your loved ones). I know that even though I feel amazing on the BTD, I lived for four years at college off of dining hall food and turned out okay. A couple cups of coffee in the morning and buttermilk pancakes (my favorite too!) once and a while are better for my state of mind than stressing out over avoiding them.
For anyone who is curious about avoid or beneficial foods, the TYPEbase 3 program is really easy to use. Keep scrolling down a couple more boxes after the bloggers on the main page (dadamo.com). There are several typeable databases down there. Go to TYPEbase 3 and click on it. I do it this way:
Search by: FOOD ITEM
Sort by: BLOOD TYPE (A![]()
Type in whatever food item you're checking.
Remember to hit the actual button to make it work...if you hit enter, it just refreshes the page.
Happy hunting y'all!
Ciao for now...
