This is embarrassing to me that I don't know this, but when you flush out gallstones, is it in your urine or you feces? Are kidney stones what come out in your urine???? Bonnie
Hi, Bonnie! Doncha be embarrassed, I just found out that hard-shelled crabs re-grow their limbs. How's that for a late discovery? :-}
Gallstones are dumped out of the gallbladder via the bile duct, into the intestinal tract, and ya poop 'em out. Kidney stones ((OUCH)) are indeed passed through the urinary tract. And the elimination of gallstones through the flush process is PAINLESS, hoorah! :-D
I am concerned with Lisya's bladder infection. She does not mention drinking eight glasses of water a day!!! Lou L
Hey there, Lou! Yep, back in September she noted that the water technique does help her, and that she was continuing it. Good note, though! :-)
Hi Heidi, Just a quick note for Emily who was asking about Epsom Salts. When she buys it she has to be sure she is buying the type which can be taken internally. In our drug store they sell two types, one for uses such as for baths, soaks, etc and the other (in a smaller bottle) that is safe to drink when mixed with a liquid. Sharon
Hello, Sharon! Excellent point. The ES I get here in NYC is plain magnesium sulphate, generic brand -- and it notes both bath/soaking and laxative use on the container. Emily's in Canada, so she should certainly check with her chemist on the right brand to use. Thanks, Sharon! :-)
I had to write a note for the lady with the persistent bladder infections: I've had these since I was a child, and that was a number of decades ago! I do now have a chiro/nutritionist who is BTD-friendly. And I've done plenty of research on my own.
I'm glad you suggested she get help in sorting this out, Heidi, but I wanted her to know that such a thing can get better! Mine is much better now, though not 100% gone. I took natural substances (don't want to give brand names unless that's OK, Heidi. The things that worked for me might not be the right ones for her) that promoted "good" intestinal bacteria and made things unfriendly for the bad guys.
But also I had to stay away from the sweet or starchy foods that were giving fuel to the infection. Even my favorite dried figs and prunes had to go for a while, and even now they are rare, and soaked overnight in water. More vegies, more raw food, kidney/bladder cleanses, and things did greatly improve. I really could not eat much in the way of carbs, and had to keep a very "clean" diet, with lots of salads, vegetable juice, and mostly organic food, to get better.
This is something non-secretors need to watch, isn't it? Cyndi
Thanks, Cyndi! It certainly is something that hits the non-secretor population with more frequency, intensity and persistence.
Your message about keeping a very clean diet, and particularly about soaking dried fruit, raises the issue of food additives as implicated in bladder conditions. Pesticides and sugars seem to aggravate them no end, and these are excellent tips on how to take those irritants out of the picture.
If you'd like to send me the brand names of what you used, that would be wonderful ~ if there is no website showing the ingredients, please list those as well. And hey ~ don't forget to name your marvelous BTD chiro, cuz I'm sure a free plug here wouldn't do them harm, and there are still so many of us around the world who are searching for a great practitioner recommendation!
It's very good to hear your UTIs are well on the mend! and an inspiration to those who are battling them now. Thanks again, dear! :-D
Dear Heidi, Just finished catching up on the last three day entries. I was really happy to read about the progress in Alice G.'s comments.
Did you know a person can only purchase digital thermometers because mercury type are banned? I purchased TWO digital type and neither worked. It all had to do with taking temps for the thyroid situation. (B+Sec, age 62F) I borrowed the neighbor's, mercury type.
My temp had been 93 and 94 which I knew was way too low. The mercury type showed 96. After three 1/2 weeks of this, using iodine and eating more seafood (seaweed etc.) I still didn't feel much better and the temp didn't change. I pondered over all the info sent and decided to get more help. I've been taking a Thyroid & LTyrosine Complex from the HFS (five days). It calls for 2/ three times daily. I've been taking 2 each morn and night. My energy is much better, I'm sleeping good, my temp is now 96.5 and this seems to be slowly rising so think this plan is working better.
I also called Julia (herbalist recommended) she warned me to take very small amounts of iodine, (like you said) because too much could possibly shut the thyroid down. Also want to say I'm taking the B basic supplements, drinking the flaxseed oil/lecithin/juice cocktail twice a day, taking collinsonia Plus for veins, nitricycle, deflect and cortiguard. In addition I have added 800mg of Magnesium Asporotate which has greatly improved my elimination distess.
Also realized I wasn't eating enough nor drinking enough water.
My goals are: attain right weight, feel energetic, be free from illness. I realize life is not perfect but I want to get as close as I can. If you see anything I might change, I'll heed your advice. Thank you Dr. D. and you too, Heidi. Bless you both. Doris
Hello, Doris! I'm not sure how extensive any ban on mercury thermometers is, but I know not all digital thermometers are good for armpit temp-taking. You need one that works not only for oral, but for axillary (underarm) measurements. It should say, "oral/anal/axillary" somewhere on the package. The one I have is from PolyMedica Healthcare in Golden, Co, and it has a flexible tip and a digital readout.
I've very pleased that the thyroid/tyrosine complex is helping you. It's evidently just what you needed to get back on track.
I think you are doing exactly what you need to do, and that "tincture of time" is all you need to add. :-) I expect wonderful reports in the coming weeks! Bless you, and enjoy each improvement as it comes along! :-D
