Melissa, I love reading your posts! You are so honest and out there. It is also wonderful for me to read about your interest in martial arts. If I can be a black belt, so can you! It is truly an extraordinary journey, and the moment in time when your receive your black belt is very special.

In Tang Soo Do, the martial art I train in, the Korean phrase for endurance is In Neh. I've learned a lot about endurance through my martial arts training -- which has nothing to do with martial arts! It has to do with a mindset and a willingness to suspend judgment or fear and commit to something that is beyond what we have defined as our limits. In doing so, we become bigger than ourselves.

So, a big congratulatory tang soo! from my martial art form to yours!

And an even bigger congratulatory round of applause for being so willing to share your experiences with all of us.
