Aw, gee, Melissa, poor little guy. Glad to hear that he came through that ordeal pretty well. Now your job is to not let your concern make him scared of bees! My mom is allergic to bees, and she was scared of them, and managed to pass that along to me-for a while, until my dad got me thinking. He said that when I got stung (like your son), that the bees weren't being mean to me, they were just the "daddy" bees protecting their home and family from an intruder, just like he would protect our home if someone was bothering us. That made sense to me, and made me feel protected at the same time. My dad is a smart guy. I hope your little guys "pet bee" helps him see that he made it 5 (?) years on this earth without getting stung, and he will probably go quite a few more years before it happens again. What a good mommy you are, wishing it was you who got stung instead of him, mommy love-now that's the "good stuff" isn't it?
