Setback by baby's first stomach flu

Gastroenteritis, that is. My 16-mo-old woke up vomiting yesterday and it went downhill from there. How do parents cope? I guess that, like me, we just somehow do. He's doing better today. His fever's down, and he's keeping fluids down. He won't let me out of his sight, and I don't like eating in front of him since he shouldn't eat much yet, so I've skipped a few too many meals, and eaten too much takeout. I'll survive though. I think I'll get a glass of water now :-)
