No Soup For You...No stew for me.
I am losing weight. My jeans fit better. My tummy looks funny, it looks like it's just deflating. Today I had a few more carbs than I should, mainly because I was feeling sorry for my O-NonSecretor self; partly because I was out of the house, and partly because I went to a health food store, which can be hard for a carb craving O in the wrong frame of mind. I'm sure I overdid it, but now I'm back on track.
When I got home I had some organic chicken sausage for lunch with sauteed spinach on the side. I still haven't had enough protein, but that meal felt like I was getting back on track. The HFS had kind of a disappointing selection of meat this time, and no wild salmon. They used to have lamb, ostrich, buffalo...you name it. A new HFS is opening up in town, I'm excited to see what they bring in.
Dried calmyrna figs taste great! Especially when you haven't had a treat for a while. I used to love Fig Newtons, but the real thing is better. Uglier, but better. I tried a rice dream bar, but it wasn't worth the avoids in it, I enjoyed the figs much more. I did try rooibos tea for the first time, it was good, I can't wait to try Sip Right. It has rooibos and licorice, and now those are my favorites. I'm avoiding green tea for now, until my heart rhythm gets back on track, I've had premature heartbeats since my pregnancy. They've tested it twice and there's nothing wrong with me that they can find, and it's not dangerous, but it bugs me to no end. It's been improving since I started the diet, but today it's annoying again after a poor night's sleep.
No stew today, but hopefully tomorrow. I wonder how many weird vegetables I can fit in the crock-pot and still end up with a good stew...
If you didn't notice the two new databases on the website, take a look at the news section. RECIPbase is back on, and they've added a Blood Type and Disease database as well as a Health Protocols database. I really like all the recent changes to the website, it seems more approachable, yet I could spend hours reading it all.
