Saturday, January 10 No time to cook, grrrr.
Today was not so good, diet wise. My silly little boy would not take his noon nap until 5 pm and all my grand naptime schemes went out the window. I usually eat lunch and get dinner started while he naps. I kept thinking he was about to fall asleep, so I kept putting off lunch until, before I knew it, it was almost dinnertime. Not a good idea to skip lunch. Then of course, my dinner was not what I had hoped to prepare. I found some chicken sausages in the freezer and heated up two of those, then had another bowl of blueberries, this time with a sprinkling of puffed rice. That tasted better than I thought it would, no milk of any kind necessary, as long as you have a bunch of juicy blueberries. I'd planned to slow cook a beef brisket...maybe tomorrow.
The good thing is that I found some of Dr. D'Adamo's books that I'd misplaced. The BTD Encyclopedia and Cook Right. I'm so looking forward to studying them again.
I'm thinking herb garden again, too. I don't have much yard space, but I plan to make the most of it, maybe I'll set up a couple window boxes as well. I am NOT a green thumb, but I've been remembering to feed my fish often enough, so maybe I can remember to weed and water some herbs too.
Not as hungry today. That's convenient since I haven't had much time to cook or eat! Now I get to sleep. Tomorrow I'll figure out what to do with some free-range ground beef and the beef brisket.
