I appreciate very much the help I received from "Eat right 4 your type" book and I suggested it to my friends and all those who suffered from various diseases with suitable medications. Several came back to me with appreciations.
For the moment my brother is suffering from Hepatitis C He is Type O+. He is an African aged 60. He is under medication but it is too harsh for him for 4 months. He has already lost Kg 10. I need help.

It makes sense- the heart is the hardest working organ in the body, and never gets a break! Fascinating that science has finally discovered this.

In response to: Antidepressant Use by Moms-To-Be May Affect Baby

I wish they'd also studied the effects of untreated depression on newborns. It's well known that maternal nutrition can affect the fetus- and depressed moms may not eat well, may be more likely to self-medicate with alcohol or other drugs, etc.

The side effects of the SSRIs may still be better for the baby than gestating in a depressed mother, at least in some cases.

Yet another reason I'm glad I finally jettisoned my beloved potato chips from my diet altogether. That said, it is scary to me that acrylamide is used to purify drinking water. I drink a LOT of water, mostly in the form of supermarket brand plain seltzer water, which is just supposed to be carbonated water, but I'm not sure how they process it for "purity". I stay away from anything actually called "purified" water because it has the same effect on me as distilled water, namely, it causes me tummy upset (which is sorta funny because I have a very tolerant tum, yet something as seemingly benign as purified water does it in). But if the tap water (which I end up drinking all during the workday, heated up for teas) and possibly the carbonated seltzer water I drink in the evenings and on weekends is full of acrylamide, well...then that is just one more thing to add to my action-packed list-o-worries. At any rate, thanks for the 411, Dr. D.
