It's May 2012 and Lipton must still be working to clear their warehouse because i'm still finding asparatame in the Lipton brand. What I've noticed in South Arkansas is the Lipton Diet Green Tea w/ Citrus packaged in the regular-shaped bottle, still have asparatame (especially when sold by the case). The the new "twisted" bottle, it is made with Splenda.

I’ve blogged about this before, but it is probably worth repeating. Sucralose – to me – is the most acceptable of a lot of bad choices.

Would I rather have agave or a tiny bit of sugar? Absolutely. If I am at home, I can make my own soda and green tea, sweetening them that way. If I am near a health food store, there are good choices like the Honest Tea I mentioned in this blog.

But I’m not always at home or near a health food store. I don’t want aspartame! I don’t want a huge jolt of corn syrup! I accept sucralose as the lesser of evils.

The point of the blog is twofold. Lipton is moving away from aspartame. That is great news! This means I can get green tea at a convenience store. That is also great news!
