I'm sorry to hear you lost your mom.

Last September, my dad died a similar way. He had a massive stroke and he couldn't swallow anymore. They put a tube in him but bile came up in the tube, and he died shortly after. (I got to visit him in the hospital, and he was at home with other family members when he went to be with the Lord.)

Perhaps because Dad had diabetes and other stuff going on before this happened (he was type B), I started the BTD. Lost interest after he died but I'm just now returning. You have a lot of strength to be able to stay on it after losing a parent.

Keep taking care of yourself. Sounds like you're doing a great job at it, and that will help a lot. You also have a good daughter--she's looking out for you.

Correction: I just know my Dad's problems had alot to do with ALL his medications the Doctors put him on to HELP him. Funny thing is his death cert says he died from senality and demensia. hum???

I'm so very sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. It's so very difficult to watch a parent fail. Like so many longtime BTDers, I've followed your blogs and feel as if I know you. You've been a wonderfully supportive daughter.
