I found myself wondering about slicing onions into rings, dipping them first into egg, and then into organic, dried onion flakes...and baking them like that, so it might have a little bit of that crusty edge. Anyone done that?

About sweet potatoes--we eat them almost once a week, sometimes more. I bought a convection oven and they cook in 12-15 min. and taste like those from a regular oven. You might consider getting a convection oven, I love mine!I'll have to experiment with the onion however.
