I have Type A blood and still think/know my blood is too thin to work with Vit. E supplements. It also has something to do with each person, so I wouldn't necessarily connect it directly with E since my husband is Type O and doesn't have a problem with it (but he isn't a woman - LOL). I'm just connecting the dots for myself on this at this point in my life. I've had various bouts of heavy menstrual and other bleeding/hemorrhaging issues. I'm stopping all E except for what's in my multi-vitamin, but I might even cut that back to 3 days a week. Thanks so much for posting. Also try Vitamin K supplements to stop heavy bleeding.<br />

Do you have any suggestions to help boost your blood so you don't bleed some much after? I too bled a lot after my 1st two births and we are planning a 3rd and would like to avoid this. I was taking a prenatal vitamin with vitamin E, would this be enough to cause a problem?

I, too, discovered vitamin E was causing me problems. I was having very heavy periods and thought it was part of menopause. I was taking vitamin E for my skin problems. Once in a while I took an aspirin. I finally related the heavy bleeding to the aspirins and to the vitamin E. I checked on the internet and found that both thin the blood (as does garlic). When I stopped the vitamin E I no longer had the problems. When I was pregnant with my two children I took no supplements, not even vitamins. I had no trouble with pregnancy, birth or my periods. I did have a miscarriage later ( and I believe I was on vitamin E at that time). I am an A negative and a teacher Genotype.
