I haven't had stuffed(deviled)eggs for ages. I wish I could find compliant mayo. Someday....

Thank you for taking the time to write this. I have been wondering what all the fuss about boiling eggs boils down to. Sorry, pun intended. Here's another trick you may have read about: I poke a hole in the blunt end with a large safety pin. Then, I, too, dunk the eggs in ice water. These two seem to have made a big difference in the ease of peeling the shell. And, the egg yolks turn out so nicely when I don't overcook them. Well, I just wanted to say thank you. I must admit that I was pleased to find a fellow Christian on this website! I enjoyed your summary of your Easter Sermaon, as this Easter, I was home sick with food poisoning ~of all things! I think it was the ice cream or the feta cheese on our salad, and I'm a type O. I guess its time for me to get back with the "Eat Right for Your Blood Type" program!!! Hope you had a Happy Easter!!!

My Mom always put her boiled eggs in cold water to cool them. She said it kept the yolks yellow; kept them from turning gray.
We just used cold water from the tap.
